On behalf of our parishes I express gratitude for all who assisted in the many facets of our Holy Week Liturgies: choir directors, musicians, choir, bulletin editors, sacristans, ushers, greeters, readers, EMHC, and minister schedulers, church decorators, server trainers, church cleaners, Easter candy/scripture verse wrappers, church staff, and ALL WHO HELPED (sorry if I forgot someone)! It s a lot of work in a few days with planning and practicing beginning far in advanced. All for Jesus. I offer a SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR ALTAR SERV- ERS. You were great! You were attentive at our long and somewhat tedious practices, some of you rearranged your schedules to fit the training and liturgies in, and you served with reverence and I will dare say with love of Jesus! That s the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN SERVING: LOVE JESUS through your serving actions. All for Jesus! Our 10 th graders 17 in all--received the Sacrament of Confirmation May 22 nd at the Cathedral of St. Paul. Let s all join together and commend them to Mary. Despite the rain we all had a great time. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped in anyway to make this a huge success. See you all next year. Fish Fry Update: Wow!! We'd like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this happen and blessed our parish with your support!! Thanks to those who purchased raffle tickets and who came to eat all that fish!! Your support of this event raised $15,492 for our parish!! Here are some of the numbers: Mar.10th: 690 adults (includes 116 take outs) 20 children March 24th: 722 adult (includes take out) 20 children Raffle sales by calculations $4206, quilt at least $450, not sure of how many were sold at the second fish fry 10 complementary tickets turned in (send to raffle donors as thank you) 84 cans of pop sold. Fish Fry revenue was $14,532 less expenses of $6,073, we netted $8,459. Raffle tickets and donations were $8,354 less winners prizes and expenses of $1321, we netted $7,033. A big THANKs to all the volunteers who planned and worked to make this event so successful! We would like to give a big thank you to all of the parishioners that are currently helping with the cleaning of the church. It takes many hands to keep the church looking as beautiful and clean as it is. We are always looking for additional workers, to join the cleaning rotation. We invite current cleaners and anyone interested in assisting to attend an informational meeting, Sunday, April 30th, 6 P.M. Please come for some light refreshments and to see the new innovations that we are using to make the job easier.
