He formed a religious congregation to carry out the work of Christian education, insisting on a life of poverty, penance and prayer. He met with much opposition from his companions. Devotions and discussions will be led by the St. John s Lutheran Church Women. Give Up a Bad Habit for Lent is the title of the chapter used from the book by Dr. James W. Jim Moore for this Wednesday Lenten Service. Kim Able will speak about Nightingale s. Please try to attend this service and bring your friends. A light continental breakfast will be served to all those attending. A thank you to all who have made the attempt to come and share in these services. All services are held at First United Methodist Church located at 100 East Sixth Street. The church is handicapped accessible.
