PENTECOST SUNDAY May 20, 2018 10:00 am: Pastor Josh Tuininga (*please stand if able) Welcome and Announcements Gathering BY God s Grace *Call to Worship The love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us; we dwell in him and he in us. Give thanks to the Lord and call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples. Sing to him, sing praises to him, and speak of all his marvelous works. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come! based on Psalm 105:1-2; Romans 5:5; Revelation 4:8 *Opening Hymn: PsH 486 Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing *Opening Prayer *Gods Greeting *Song: LUYH 746 Holy Spirit, Living Breath of God Growing IN God s Grace Call to Confession You were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions It is by grace you have been saved. Eph 2:1-5 NIV Prayer of Confession 2 13
Assurance of Pardon For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:8-10 NIV Song of Assurance: How Deep the Father s Love For Us God s Will For Our Lives Acts 2:1-12 Prayer with the Children Song of Preparation: PsH 425 Creator Spirit, by Whose Aid Scripture: Ephesians 3:14-21 Message: There Is Enough *Song of Response: Once Again *Profession of Faith Apostles Creed Going WITH God s Grace Congregational Prayer Offering: Ministry to Seafarers *Blessing *Closing Song: Benediction Song The Officiating Elder will be available after the service in the sanctuary for anyone who would like prayer.
