But please feel free to join us next week as our local Cub Scouts will host until 1 pm in the Social Center. Please stop by! Our FREE BLOOD PRESSURE screening service will be on hiatus in July and August. We will re-open on September 5. You are encouraged to check your local drug stores for blood pressure screening services during this time. Our last for this service will be June 27, from 9:30 to 11:30 am in the Holy Family Service Center. A special THANK YOU to our team of volunteers who perform this service! Holy Family Service Center From an anonymous service center worker who s been volunteering since 2009: It s the greatest job in the world. It s fun. It keeps you young. Envelopes in Pews in September Envelopes for donation to the service center will be in the pews throughout September. Cash donations help us buy food from the LA Food Bank, buy toiletries, and pay our bills. All cash donations are helpful to the ministry. Saturdays Hours Begin in September The service center will be open on Saturdays from 9 am to 11:45 am beginning the first Saturday after Labor Day. We are also open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 am to 11:45 am year-round with a break in winter for the Christmas holiday period. Our hot shower and hot breakfast ministry is open on Thursday mornings year- round without a break, except when a holiday falls on Thursday. Home Bound Ministers visit the parishioners who are unable to attend Mass. We visit and say prayers and bring the Holy Eucharist to them. It is a VERY rewarding ministry. Training is available.
