Or perhaps you know someone who wants to learn more about joining the Church. Often others having contact with people of faith and/or a personal faith experience lead them to inquire about our Catholic Church and seek to become a baptized member. Plant seeds of hope with them of God s love and everlasting promises. Invite them to contact the parish office or let the parish office know if we can reach out to them. Below are excepts from the August 18 letter written to us from The Most Reverend David L. Ricken, Bishop of Green Bay. The letter in its entirety was read at all Masses last weekend and is posted on the blog page of our website www.seasgb.org. I am writing to you today with a very, very heavy heart regarding the recent public accusations...from the State of Pennsylvania. These reports sicken me and leave me with a sense of anger and shame for what has been inflicted on the People of God in the past by certain shepherds of the flock, both the direct offenders against children and the purported cover up engaged in by some bishops...i would like to reaffirm my full-hearted commitment to ensuring that all people will be safe within our Church. The value of life does not depend upon the place we occupy. It depends upon the way we occupy that place. ~St. Therese of Lisieux 1204 S.
