If you have discontinued your financial support, please consider reinstating that practice. Parents: The children have received their boxes of offering envelopes. Please encourage them to develop the practice of bringing an envelopes weekly when they come to church with you. This week, $22 was received from the children s offertory envelopes. Thank you!! If you would be interested in a carefree way to contribute to your parish each month, please call Eileen Gerome at the Parish Office Monday thru Wednesday (216.382.7601). She will be happy to assist you in setting up this option with either the Sts. Margaret and Gregory Credit Union or the bill payer feature with your own personal banking institution. In your charity, please remember the sick, the homebound and elderly, those confined to nursing homes, and all of their caregivers. In a special way, let us pray for these members of our community: Marie Bernardo, Nick DiFranco, Barbara Gura, Margaret Ice, Gloria Janson, Aida Kinczel, Margaret Nocero, Anna Perrone, Sally Rummel, E. Joseph Stanziano, Jim and Pat Sweeney, and all the prayer requests in the book of intentions in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. You may call the Parish Office (216.382.7601) if you would like a priest or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to visit. The priests will visit on the First Friday of each month. If you would also like to receive the Sacrament of Confession, please give that message to the person who calls with the First Friday reminders. Prayer & Fasting from now until November 6. Please join our war against abortion: arm yourselves with prayer and fasting; offer your sacrifices to the Lord.

FROM THE PASTOR S DESK... My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, This Sunday is Priesthood Sunday, and we are very happy to welcome one of our Diocesan seminarians, Cameron Popik, who will speak after communion. In your charity, please remember Fr. Winkel and me in your prayers. Also please pray for any of the priests that you know or have known over the years. God bless you for your kindness. Have you noticed that Halloween decorations have really grown from when we were children? I remember, as a boy, having a jack-o-lantern on the steps of the front stoop and a few cardboard jack-o-lanterns in the window. That was about the extent of it. These days it seems that Halloween decorations are almost as elaborate as those for Christmas (sadly, with some bordering on poor taste). With those thoughts in mind, let us rediscover the beauty of this time of year by making sure that we attend Mass on All Saints Day (a Holy Day of Obligation). While in church you might want to visit the beautiful reliquaries that we have in the Narthex, saying a little prayer as you pause to read the identifying notes. Perhaps you might find a relic of your patron saint. You might also take some time to visit the beautiful statues, mosaics and stained glass windows in and around our church. Perhaps you might use this opportunity to teach your children about their patron saints. May God s Blessings be yours this week. Father Ireland I would also invite you to attend Mass the following day, All Souls Day. On All Saints Day we honor all the Saints in Heaven. On All Souls Day we pray for all of our beloved deceased. The 12:10 Mass on All Souls Day will be in the Extraordinary Form, and there will be music provided by the Lyceum choir. Thursday, Novemberr 1 is the Feast of All Saints, a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses are: 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, and 6:45 a.m., 12:10 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday. The 12:10 Mass will be sung by the Lyceum choir. Friday, November 2, is All Souls Day, the time when the Church remembers all of those who have gone before us in faith. Our Masses on that day will be as usual: 6:45 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. The 12:10 Mass will be in the Extraordinary Form and will be sung by the Lyceum choir. We encourage you to come to Church on these days and pray for all the saints in your life, both living and deceased, as well as those who have been officially named by the Church and have the title Saint with a capital S. This year we will celebrate our All Souls Memorial Mass on Sunday, November 4, at 3 p.m. in our Church. Please plan to come and pray with the families of those who have had a special person in their lives die during the last year. Families who have had a death in the family will be invited to come forward during the roll call of deceased to light a candle in their memory. Sunday: Monday: Tuesday: Bishop Emeritus Anthony M. Dear Parishioners, Academy Families and Friends, As Principal of this fine Academy, I want to tell you how proud I am of our students who were involved in the Family Fall Fest last weekend. A huge Thank You goes out to all involved in setting up, volunteering, participating, and cleaning up for the Corpus Christi Academy Family Fall Fest. More than 80 per cent of the PreK to Grade 5 students participated, and a significant number of students in Grades 6 to 8 (including the Academy Student Council) were among those who volunteered at the event that brought the Academy and the local community together for the benefit of our School.... AND A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!! Student Council had a phenomenal haunted house, aftercare students and teachers did a great job setting up the hallways, and we had LOTS of parent helpers! Students got to meet the police and fire departments while trunk-ortreating and then had a great lunch followed by many FUN math activities! God Bless!!
