And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father, before all worlds. God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made. Who for us and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory to judge both the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets; and we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church; we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen *that is, the true Christian church of all times and all places *The Gloria Patri xv
Confession of Sin Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent; According to Your promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O merciful Father, for His sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life; To the glory of Your holy name. Amen. SERMON NOTES
From The Hospitality Committee Dear Families of Liberty Church, It has come to our attention that at least 6 families attending Liberty have severe allergies, including anaphylactic reaction to peanuts/ tree nuts and Celiac disease (wheat/gluten allergy). Because we have had no allergen policy in place, these families have been unable to fully participate in celebrations at the church that include food. From this point forward, we want to ensure that all families attending any and all events at Liberty will be safe, and therefore are putting a new allergen policy in place. During any gathering at Liberty Church where food is provided, either by members or via an outside caterer, we will have designated gluten-, peanut-, and tree nut-free table(s). If other food allergies in the church are brought to the Hospitality Committee s attention, we will expand our allergen-free table(s) in order to exclude additional problematic foods. All allergen free items donated or purchased for an event must coincide with the Baltimore County Health Department best practices for allergen safety (Food Allergen Poster). This means that all people who volunteer to make these allergen-free foods must ensure that they are completely free of gluten, wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts. Foods that are allergen-free may NEVER come into contact with those allergens; this would result in cross-contamination and would negatively impact the health of our members with allergies. Church members and guests must wash their hands or change gloves before handling allergen-free food, even if it is wrapped. If you would like to provide a gluten-free item that has nuts, or a nut-free item that has gluten, it must be clearly marked. We will keep gluten-free and nut-free items that could contaminate each other on separate tables. We know that several members have experience preparing allergen -free foods, and we welcome your donations, as well as your help and expertise in implementing this new policy. If you have questions, please contact Rebekah Weinreich.
Installation Service for Pastor Nathan Sunday, November 18th at 6:00 pm Pastor Nathan s Installation Service is tonight at 6:00pm. Pastor Nathan will take his vows of service to the congregation of Liberty and we will commit to faithfully following his leadership and support him through prayers and encouragement. We invite you to attend this very special service to inaugurate Pastor Nathan s into ministry. Immediately following the service, there will be a dessert reception in the Old Sanctuary to celebrate the occasion. We are asking that everyone contribute a dish to share for the reception. Those who last names start with A-L please bring a savory snack (i.e. cheese and crackers, fruit tray, veggie tray) and last names start with M-Z please bring a dessert (no custards, or whipped creams please). Those of you who decide to bring an allergen free dish (please refer to the new allergen statement issued by church), please contact Rebekah Weinreich to ensure we keep everything separate. Thank you! Please put your food that is allergen free on the table in the parlor with a label explaining if it is glutton free, peanut free, nut free or etc. All other foods should be put in the kitchen. During the Installation Service, childcare will be provided for children ages 1 to 4 years old during the service. If you are willing to volunteer, please text or call Lisa Byrd (410-751-2542). Teens can use this opportunity to earn volunteer service hours for school. Thank you and please be in prayer as Pastor Nathan begins his new ministry with us! Thanksgiving Eve Service 7:00 pm Join us for a time of praise and prayer as we give thanks to God for His many blessings.
ANNOUNCEMENTS From the Office Wednesday night Activities are cancelled this week due to our Thanksgiving Service. Communion Date Change Please note that we will be having communion on December 9 instead of December 2 as Pastor Barry will be away the weekend of December 2 nd to attend Glenna s concerts in NYC. Pastor Barry wants to be able to attend his daughter s concerts but also be able to administer communion along with Pastor Nathan, especially since it will be Pastor Nathan s first Lord s Supper with us. So to accommodate Pastor Barry s scheduling conflict, the Session has graciously granted his personal request to switch the date of Communion from December 2 nd to December 9 th. Also on December 9 th the Old Sanctuary will be closed as it will be set for the Christmas Gathering reception later that day. However, parents may still use the Care Room in the Old Sanctuary during the worship service on December 9 th. Thank you for your understanding! Save the Date! A Christmas Gathering will be held on Sunday, December 9 th, 2018 from 3:30-5:00, with individuals and groups sharing gifts of musical talents and other presentations in keeping with our Christmas celebration of the birth of our Lord! We would like all partaking in the celebration to bring food to share during a time of fellowship following the presentations. If your last name initials begin with A-G bring fruit or veggies, H-R bring sweet deserts, and S-Z bring cheese/crackers or salty items. If you bring an allergen free food(i.e. gluten/wheat free, peanut/tree nut free), please contact Rebekah Weinreich to eliminate cross contamination. Volunteers are needed to help the Hospitality Committee set up and clean up the Old Sanctuary for the Christmas concert, contact Rebekah Weinreich at 443-536-5642 or bexweinreich@gmail.com The Christmas Gathering celebration will support the Open Hearts Ministry which is lead by Erin Tracht. A love gift offering will be taken during the program.

Liberty Christian School LCS has a job opening available for Extended Care and Summer Camp Director. This is an hourly, part-time position. For more information see the job posting on the bulletin board downstairs. Inclement Weather Policy Inclement weather information: If we have to cancel Sunday worship due to the weather or power outage, we will send a message through email/constant Contact and put a message on our answering machine to let you know. If you are not currently receiving Constant Contact emails, please call the church office so we can add you to the list. Activities during the week are automatically cancelled or delayed if either Baltimore County or Carroll County Schools are closed or delayed for inclement weather. Our snow removal company requires that we do not have any vehicles in the parking lot on days when they need to remove snow.
FOCUS ON MISSIONS Bruce & Susan Young Liberty supports MTW missionaries Bruce and Susan Young, who have been ministering in Japan for over 40 years. In the first 30 years they were involved in church planting. This prepared them for the valuable ministry they have today as a resource to missionaries. Since 2004 through their work with both the Spiritual Life and Global Training and Development Departments, Bruce and Susan have had the privilege of pouring their lives into missionaries through spiritual mentoring and training in cross-culture ministry. This is done through the Living in Grace Conferences and a one month long pre-field training program. They also minister to missionaries who are already on the field by making field visits and through events such as the summer conference, re-entry orientation, and area retreats. Please pray for the Youngs as they minister in Japan, particularly: It has been a month since Susan had her surgery to eliminate her repeated diverticulitis attacks. They are very thankful to be able to report that the surgery was a success and she is doing very well with her recovery! Pray for Susan's continued recovery and strength to return. For wisdom as Bruce works on his book for Japanese Christians which focuses on how the gospel applies to life in Japan. For new missionaries who are raising their support and for those who are in language school. For an increase in their support account as it is getting low. For insurance purposes, we must have two volunteers (who are not married to each other) in both the Noah s Ark Room and the pink nursery during each service. Due to a shortage of volunteers and infants in the 0-24 month nursery (the pink nursery), a decision has been made to combine the older infants with the toddlers in the Noah's Ark room, and we will combine volunteer forces as well! Parents are welcome to use the pink nursery during the service as an additional Comfort Room but must accompany their children since the room will be unstaffed. We are hopeful that this will only be a temporary situation and we pray to have a fully utilized 0-24 month nursery in the future! Please consider volunteering - it is a great way to get to know covenant children and families that you have not yet had the opportunity to meet. The pink nursery will be staffed for the Sunday School hour; it also has its own privacy room for nursing Moms. Please email Lisa Byrd with questions: lisawbyrd@gmail.com
To the Congregation of Liberty Church, Words cannot express how thankful we are for your prayers for Chas this year, especially the last two months. Two of his doctors have said that his healing is a miracle and only the Great Physician, Our Lord Jesus Christ, can do miracles! Praise our loving Father. The flowers were so cheery, lifting our spirits and appreciated for many days. The cards and phone calls from each of you were so precious and gratefully received. Thank you so much Liberty! In Christ, Pat & Chas Tracy
