Mission Cooperative Appeal: Second Collection August 20 & 21, 2016 Next weekend, on behalf of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, we will be taking a second collection for the Dominican Sisters and their work in Vietnam. The Sisters provide hands-on ministry to reach the people in the countryside through such programs as training teachers for the children, providing job-training centers for the people who have no jobs, helping to foster a more healthy lifestyle, and creating more medical stations for the sick. The few schools that do exist are difficult to reach, and many children walk to school on empty stomachs. Thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity to support their important, vital missionary work. Let us learn to live with kindness, to love everyone, even when they do not love us.
