Alleluia! April 1, 2018 Dear Friends, Alleluia! He is Risen! Thank you for your dedication and service to Our Lady of the Mount. Over the next several months under the spiritual guidance of Bishop Checchio all the parishes in our diocese will be directing their attention to deepening our faith and personal relationship with Christ. With over twenty active ministries and your ongoing participation, our parish is well prepared to focus on the challenges of this new evangelization. As an initial step, I will be inviting all our ministry leaders to join me in the formation of a Council of Ministries. This Council will meet quarterly, not only to enhance their spirituality, but also to develop specific ideas and actions to embrace the Bishop s initiatives within all our ministries and to coordinate and integrate our efforts as a parish. I would ask each of you to continue to pray for the ongoing renewal of our parish and our. Peace, RCIA Easter We Are A New Creation The entire RCIA team rejoices in the Initiation of Jack Monett and Jacob Schenk at the Vigil Mass this weekend. Alleluia! During this Mass they were baptized, confirmed, and received first Eucharist. As noted from the initiation prayers said during this rite: You have become a new creation and have clothed yourself in Christ. As Jack and Jacob professed their faith for this first time, we, too, have renewed the promises of each of our baptisms, by which we again renounce Satan and his works and promise to serve God in the holy Catholic. Thank you to all of you who have over the last year participated in several rites held at our Masses during their journey, and the many prayers you have offered for them! We pray you have a joyous Easter celebration with your friends and family. Please share the good news about the new additions to our parish. Share this with your family, your friends at work or school. Share it with others in the neighborhood. If your witness inspires someone you know to learn more about joining our Catholic community, encourage them to call the Parish Office at 908-647-1075 and they will put you in touch with a member of the RCIA team. http://olmwarren.org/rite-of-christian-initiation-ofadults

Palm Sunday Photos Divine Mercy Sunday April 8 For the full Palm Sunday Album please visit our website: www.ourladyofthemount.org Mankind s need for the message of Divine Mercy took on dire urgency in the 20th Century, when civilization began to experience an eclipse of the sense of God and, therefore to lose the understanding of the sanctity and inherent dignity of human life. In the 1930s, Jesus chose a humble Polish nun, St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, to receive private revelations concerning Divine Mercy that were recorded in her Diary. St. Faustina s Diary records 14 occasions when Jesus requested that a Feast of Mercy (Divine Mercy Sunday) be observed. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy: The Chaplet was also given to St. Faustina with this promise: Encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given you (Diary, no. 1541). Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy. I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. The Divine Mercy Novena: Jesus gave St. Faustina nine intentions for which to pray the Chaplet beginning on Good Friday and ending on the Saturday before Divine Mercy Sunday; All mankind, especially sinners, The souls of priests and religious, All devout and faithful souls, Those who do not believe in Jesus and those who do not yet know Him, The souls of separated brethren, The meek and humble souls and the souls of children, The souls who especially venerate and glorify Jesus mercy, The souls who are detained in purgatory; The souls who have become lukewarm.
