GREETERS MEETINGS TODAY This meeting is intended for those who already welcome worshipers and those persons who would like to become greeters. The Baltimore Washington Conference will offer college scholarships for the Fall 2018 semester. Students can apply today March 7 through an online application system. Scholarships are available to students attending or enrolling in accredited colleges and universities in the United States. Students must be an active member of a church for at least one year and be attending (or will attend) an accredited college or university within the United States full time. Students will need to provide their official transcript (high school or college) and contact information for two church references (pastor and another member of the church). In addition, the student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Floyd Robinson Scholarship Competition Sunday, January 21 3-6 pm Old Social Hall DC Streetcar: Union Station to Georgetown Environmental Assessment Public Meeting The District Department of Transportation (DDOT), along with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), invite you to a public meeting on Tuesday, January 23 to provide an update on the Union Station to Georgetown (USGT) Streetcar Environmental Assessment (EA) and to discuss potential storage and maintenance sites that have been identified for the new USGT streetcar vehicles. When: Tuesday, January 23 (6-8 pm) Where: George Washington University Funger Hall, Room 108 2201 G St., NW, Wash., DC The EA considers alternative approaches to extending the existing streetcar line from Union Station to Georgetown and will evaluate the environmental and cultural effects of the proposed improvements. The meeting will review updates on the alternatives and technical analysis conducted since November 2016, as well as provide information on potential storage and maintenance sites. The USGT EA is being prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. 7
