St. Ambrose will be offering Stations of the Cross this Lenten Season on Fridays at 6:00pm. The Knights of Columbus, St. Ambrose Council will be collecting can goods once again this Lenten Season. Last year was a great success and made a big impact in fighting hunger in our area. During our 40 Cans for Lent program, we aspire to have each parishioner at St. Ambrose contribute one can of food per day throughout the 40 days of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday. We ve placed a special container in the church entrance to help collect your donations of canned foods (and dry goods), which will be used to fill local food pantry shelves. SCHOOL NEWS St. Ambrose School s website and Facebook pages are a great way to learn more about all of the exciting experiences happening in our school! Check them out at http://school.stambroseonthehill.com/ St. Ambrose Students have been busy doing acts of service at school and on their own time. St. Ambrose students completed a couple of projects to be distributed to St. Ambrose parishioners who reside in nursing homes. The 1 st & 8 th grade buddies worked together to make Valentine s cards. The members of Pio & Goretti Houses painted crosses to brighten up the parishioners residences. On a Saturday a group of students met at the Humane Society to bake Valentine s treats for the animals and read to the shelter dogs. Student Council organized a First Friday collection to support St. Ambrose Society s. The student body brought in many jars of peanut butter and jelly to be used to make sandwiches for the homeless.

Catholic Sisters Exhibit at St. Louis Public Library Celebrate the contributions Catholic sisters have made to the St. Louis community for the last 200 years and counting by visiting the St. Louis Public Library s upcoming exhibit, Catholic Sisters: The Spirit of St. Louis on display March 3 through April 28 at the Central Library at 1301 Olive Street. The exhibit is open Mondays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The free exhibit, which corresponds with National Catholic Sisters Week from March 8-14, will represent 15 religious communities who have had an impact on education and healthcare, as well highlight the services they have provided those in need. Show Me Life Pro-Life Action Day at State Capitol March 13, 2018 Support legislation to save the lives of unborn children. Join pro-lifers in Jefferson City on Tuesday, March 13th at the State Capitol. The featured speaker will be Carol Tobias, National Right to Life Committee President. Registration begins at 10:00 am in the 1 st floor rotunda with the noon rally.
