6 SCHOOL NEWS St. Ambrose School s website and Facebook pages are a great way to learn more about all of the exciting experiences happening in our school! Check them out at Mrs. Grellner's first grade challenge group took a walk down Wilson Avenue to the Little Free Library. Before going, the students had read a book about such a library. Each child donated a book and tooka book to read. Pre-K3 has been checking on the bulbs they planted in front of school last fall and were excited to find them blooming this week! Pre-K4 has been studying fairy tales. Before reading Jack and the Beanstalk, they used crepe paper to create a beanstalk, estimated its length, and measured it using linking cubes. After reading the fairy tale, they constructed beanstalks with pipe cleaner and wrote beanstalk stories.

7 St. Ambrose Athletic Association Registration for soccer, volleyball and chess at St. Ambrose is now open. Soccer is available to boys and girls who will be in grades Pre-K to 8 this fall (must be age 4 by the start of the season in early September). Volleyball and chess is available to boys and girls who will be in grades 3 to 8 this fall. The fee is $30 per child, per sport/activity. We will hold this low price until Sunday, May 13th. After 5/13 the fee will go up to $60 per child, per sport/activity. The deadline to register for all three will be May 25th.
