From the Desk of Fr. Chris How could you do this to us? Don t you know we were worried sick? How many of you have lived out this scene or some variation? Maybe you heard it growing up, or maybe you said it while your children were growing up. For whatever reason this message was conveyed, we probably would all agree that it wasn t our best moment of familial life all that conflict within our own families! That s why I m thankful this is the Gospel for the Feast of the Holy Family. Here is our only insight of Jesus growing up, and there s conflict in the Holy Family. Far too often we have this image that the Holy Family was perfect, without flaws, never a conflict, just a peace filled and idyllic existence. We think we fall so short when we look at the chaos of our own families. As we recover from Christmas Day and make the transition back into Ordinary Time in a few weeks, remember this: Love, not perfection, makes a Family Holy. Fr. Chris We welcome all who are visiting our Corpus Christi Faith Community for the first time or are frequent visitors. We are honored by your presence. If we can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to call on us. If you would like to become a member of our Parish, please complete one of the Registration forms located in the Parish Office, at the Community Center Bulletin Board, or on our website at www.cccctucson.org Prayer Chain If you would like to be a part of the Prayer Chain, or have a prayer request, all that s required is to have a computer with internet access, an email address, a compassionate heart, and willingness to pray for others (no phone trees).
