Faith & Family Formation ~B O W ~ uggested text for faith sharing: oday s Gospel 26 O W O 1, 2017 : It s not enough to merely say you believe. You must also live your faith. O :L W When you hear the story of the two sons, what about it touches your heart? What image lingers in your memory from this reading? Q C : How do you show your love for Jesus by doing what he asks, even when it is difficult for you? Q Y : oday s parable reminds us that it isn t what we say that counts as much as what we do. How would someone know you are a Christian through your actions? Q A : How and when were you like each of the sons in the Gospel? If you have been thinking of completing your sacraments; this may be the year! RCIA will be starting on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. he sacraments will be celebrated at the Easter Vigil on March 31, 2018. he Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is not only for people who want to become Catholic. It offers Faith Formation for people over the age of 16 in all stages of life. It is a process for the Unbaptized, Baptized Christians from other denominations and for Baptized Catholics who wish to complete the acraments of Initiation: Eucharist and/or Confirmation. Participants are introduced to the teachings, worship, and customs of Catholic life. Here are some reasons people have attended RCIA: Flower Dedication We invite our parishioners to donate flowers in memory of a loved one or perhaps to mark a special occasion. If you are interested, please call Linda Lash at 973-625-3914, at least 2 weeks prior to your requested weekend. I wanted to complete my sacraments so I can be a Godparent. We wanted to provide a strong Catholic foundation for our children. I have been thinking about getting baptized and learn about the Catholic Faith. I was baptized in another faith and felt it was time to become Catholic. I started coming to RCIA for my mom but continued coming for myself. I want to learn more about the Catholic Faith and why we do what we do. One large floral arrangement for the center of the main altar will be ordered from a Denville florist at a cost of $80. Your "special intention" will be published in the bulletin. You will help us provide beauty for the Lord s worship and pay a visible tribute to a special person or celebrate a special event. If you know someone who may be interested, we encourage you to invite them to reach out to find out more. here is no obligation to commit and we are confident those who attend will grow in their faith journey.
