Approximately 1500 people on site and another 2500 watching and listening from the highway enjoyed the celebration of our freedom with fireworks and food all provided by Satterwhite Log Homes. We began by singing Midnight Aaron Perkins leads Every Praise Is to Our God Cry featuring Cleveland Brown and transitioned into Days of Elijah. We trust the message was delivered and Christ was glorified. Lft to Rt. Beautiful SouthSide Longview (at right) CrossRoads Church Youth A fine group of young people showed up on the last Saturday of July to help prepare and feed the hundred or so people that came out to hear God speak to them. Being in the middle of summer, our regular crew was a bit light and we needed the extra hands and sure appreciated their attitude and energy. God has some very great things in store for these willing vessels. All He wants is our willingness, He will provide everything else. (at right) Stacy Prays... Stacy Boy Perkins prays with one of our young ladies that is a regular out on the street. Many needs that we find there are the same each of us have. To be loved, cared about, and acknowledged are sometimes more important than the physical needs we find. Although clothing, food, and shelter are necessities, a warm hug on a hot summer day will sometimes do more than a bag of chips and a juicy burger. Thank you for helping us provide both, and sometimes, being right there on the front lines with us! Below; Michael and Austin are standing waiting on our friends to be open to the call of the Holy Spirit on Hwy 80 ShadeTree. These 2 men have been touched by His hand and are extensions of the fingers of Christ. They are heavily involved in both local and foreign mission work. They are examples of what a new life in Jesus can do. I v e B e e n C h a n g e d, I v e B e e n Newborn, all my life has been rearranged, what a difference it made when the Lord came and stayed in my heart, Oh YES I VE BEEN CHANGED! The words to that old Gospel favorite still ring true when the Holy Spirit comes knocking on the door of hearts. Charles Persons stands with a young man who gave his life to Jesus, and Michael Bailey and Frankie Pence encourage and pray for him and welcome him into the family of God. Thank you for praying for those you don t even know, but with whom you will spend eternity.
What Does it Take? Praying, Preparing, Planning, Pouring, Praising, Participating, Partnering, Playing, Packaging, and Pulling. All those P s are found on this page in the serving area. We are so blessed and humbled that our Great God would choose to use us (and I mean YOU TOO!) for such a time as this. It doesn t matter if we are on Hwy 80, SouthSide, at the Rescue Mission, whether helping or praying for those in need, you can be found leading the charge and being the mighty vessel that the Lord uses to touch someone s life. Beautiful South Side Longview Great Town Hall Meeting June Event was a real blessing- During the middle of June, SouthSide Longview was the place to be. Door Prizes from area businesses and guest speakers and artists joined in a combined effort to spread the love of Jesus to everyone who braved the heat. This event was a culmination of months of preparation and teamwork. Although our work is faaar from over, it was a great start that will pay off for years to come. CLASSIC SINGS Pictured Below: Renee Hamilton, Susan Avery, Dale Perkins II, Ginger Miller, Jim Parker, Nicole Worsham, Cleavland Brown, Chrissy Anthony, Jack Goetz, Clay Perkins Thank you for your prayers for safe travel and His blessing on our group. We had back-to-back trips from one coast to the other. On Thursday and Friday we were in North Carolina, and on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we were in Riverside, California. There is no time for site seeing except the ball rooms we visit, (and we ve seen some beautiful ones) and we ve logged a lot of sky miles along the way, eaten airport food, lost sleep, sung hoarse, prayed with flight attendants, doormen, gate attendants, military members, other travelers, presidential and gubernatorial candidates, and even had some cancelled flights. But God has always allowed us to be where we ve needed to be to minister or hopefully be a blessing to someone. Through it all, you, our PPM Partners have been right there with us, sharing in the spoils and heir to the same crowns. God Bless You as you always bless us!
