We re glad you ve joined us! CADET SUNDAY- We celebrate with our Cadets and their Counselors the ministry to young boys of our congregation and community. The Cadets will be taking part in our morning service and will be serving refreshments in the Fellowship Hall after the service. Thank you to all the counselors and those who help each week volunteering their time to the Cadet program to make it such a success. Take a moment to thank a Counselor and encourage a Cadet. FELLOWSHIP Please join us after the morning service in the fellowship hall for cookies, punch or coffee, and a time to get to know each other! THE OFFERING TODAY is for Cadets. The Cadet boy s Club is helping boys to grow more Christlike in all areas of life and is for boys in the 3rd through 8th grade. It is part of Dynamic Youth Ministries headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. HOLY WEEK SERVICES - We will be holding a Good Friday Service on March 30 at 7:00 p.m. We will be having communion at this service. Our Sunrise Service will be held April 1 at 7:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall with a continental breakfast following. The regular morning service will be held at 10:00 a.m. with no service planned for the evening. Invite friends and neighbors to join in the celebration of our risen Lord! MEMBERSHIP TRANSFER - Gert Dykema's membership has been transferred to Parklane CRC in Portland, Oregon. Gert is adjusting well to Portland life and we wish her God's richest blessings as she now becomes a part of Parklane CRC.
FOOD DRIVE The deacons are holding our bi-monthly food drive for the Headwaters Area Food Bank. Please bring your donations to the south foyer by this evening. Canned Soup, Fruit Cocktail/Mixed Fruit, Dry Beans, Rice, Canned Vegetables are all on their wish list. Thank you for your generosity! SUNRISE SERVICE - The Fellowship Committee invites you to join them for breakfast after the Sunrise Service on April 1. The committee will provide the breakfast casseroles, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. There are signup sheets in both foyers if you would be willing to make breakfast rolls or other breakfast treats to complete our menu. Thank you for helping us! PARADISE LOST - Join us in the fellowship hall at 9:00 a.m. for Adult Sunday School. Starting April 8, and the following weeks, we will be watching "Genesis: Paradise Lost". Volunteers are especially needed in the evening. It is a very easy process and the instructions are written there. You will be blessed to worship with our retirement home members and they will be blessed and thankful that you came! CARE PACKAGES - The Education Committee is sending out care packages for exams to our college students again, and we are asking for notes/cards from the congregation to include in the boxes. There will be a box in the fellowship hall or you can give your letters to members of the Ed Committee. ADULT LEADERS NEEDED - The Combined Youth Group is looking for adults to be leaders on Platte SERVE and Victoria SERVE this summer. Platte SERVE (South Dakota) takes place on June 23-30. Victoria SERVE (British Columbia) takes place on July 14-21. If you are interested in hearing more about what leading a group on one of these SERVE experiences entails, contact Kyle De Boer (507-227-8312). VBS HELP - Looking for someone to make donation slips for elementary snacks; the manuel has the snacks planned but you need to compute the amount of food needed. MANHATTAN CHRISTIAN 2018-2019 REGISTRATION NIGHTS will be held on Thursday, April 12 from 4:00 8:00 PM and Tuesday, April 17 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Please bring your completed registration packet in person to the MCS Library at one of the above times. Registration packets will be mailed out the week of March 26th. MANHATTAN CHRISTIAN IS IN SEARCH OF A PERSON to be in charge of the Academic Assessment program for Reading Fluency and accuracy of each student in the elementary school. This is a part-time job in which testing for student skills is done three times a year. Testing is done in September, again in January and late in the year.
