Please mark your calendars and save the date - May 4th!! We have an exciting speaker and look forward to seeing all of you there! When Jesus drove the merchants out of the temple, he was not angry, he was PASSIONATE! Jesus clearly believed in what He was doing! The gospel tells us that because of this, many believed in His Name because they saw the signs that He was showing them. If we expect our children to learn our values and beliefs, then they must witness our passion for these values. Just like the people in today s gospel, our children need to see the signs of what we re doing if they are to believe. Children need us to be passionate leaders.

St. Vincent de Paul Church Page Five Sunday, March 4, 2018 REVITALIZE, RENEW AND REJOICE! Our campaign is progressing well. Our total in pledges and donations is $956,486.80 with 183 donors. What a generous and faith-filled response! May God bless everyone who has helped get us to this point. As I was thinking about Father Norm s mention of giving alms during Lent, I thought about the campaign and our need to restore our facilities to sustain places to pray, learn, and live as a vibrant Catholic faith community. It dawned on me that, as we each try to discern at what level we can give, if we considered an offering of $1 a day for three years, that would be a gift of just over $1000. For me, that was a way to figure out the impact of a gift in my daily life. Father had also asked us to consider a stretch gift. For some, that dollar a day may be too much, for others the $1 concept might help frame the level they could reach for. Whatever your situation permits, your gift will make a difference for the future of our parish. Please contact me if you have any questions or want to discuss anything about our efforts.
