The Triumphal Entry to Jerusalem of Jesus

The Transfiguration of Jesus The Triumphal Entry of Jesus The Crucifixion of Jesus The Resurrection of Jesus

Matthew 21:1-17 1 Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

Matthew 21:1-17 2 saying to them, Go into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me.

Matthew 21:1-17 3 If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord needs them, and he will send them at once.

Matthew 21:1-17 3 If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord needs them, and he will send them at once.

Matthew 21:1-17 4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5 Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.

Matthew 21:1-17 6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them.

Matthew 21:1-17 8 Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

Matthew 21:1-17 9 And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!

Matthew 21:1-17 9 And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!

Matthew 21:1-17 10 And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, Who is this? 11 And the crowds said, This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.

Matthew 21:1-17 12 And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.

Matthew 21:1-17 13 He said to them, It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you make it a den of robbers.

Matthew 21:1-17 14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, Hosanna to the Son of David! they were indignant, 16 and they said to him, Do you hear what these are saying?

Matthew 21:1-17 And Jesus said to them, Yes; have you never read, Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise? 17 And leaving them, he went out of the city to Bethany and lodged there.

Messiah = The Anointed One In the Old Testament times, three specific types of people were anointed PROPHETS PRIESTS KINGS

Jesus = Christ (anointed one) Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16) PROPHET The Bible shows that Jesus is our ultimate PRIEST KING

Jesus Christ is the Expected Messiah who Revealed Himself in an Unexpected Manner

PROPHET Who Renews us by His Sacred Word PRIEST Who Redeems us by His Sacrifice KING Who Reigns over us thru His Sovereignty

Jesus Christ is the Expected Messiah who Revealed Himself in an Unexpected Manner

Jesus is the PROPHET Who Renews us by His Word The Messiah will bring renewal to the people by cleaning up the people externally Jesus Christ brought renewal to the people by cleaning up the people internally

Jesus is the PROPHET Who Renews us by His Word

Jesus Christ is the Expected Messiah who Revealed Himself in an Unexpected Manner

Jesus is the PRIEST Who Redeems us by His Sacrifice The Messiah will free his people by Killing the enemies Jesus Christ freed his people by Dying for them and their enemies

Jesus is the PRIEST Who Redeems us by His Sacrifice 26 For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. 27 He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself (Hebrews 7:26-27)

Jesus Christ is the Expected Messiah who Revealed Himself in an Unexpected Manner

Jesus is the KING Who Reigns over us thru His Sovereignty People didn t hail Jesus as King when Jesus didn t march towards their expected goal

What is this?

Jesus is the KING Who Reigns over us thru His Sovereignty People hailed Jesus as King but Stopped when Jesus didn t march towards their expected goal

Jesus is the KING Who Reigns over us thru His Sovereignty People hailed Jesus as King but Stopped when Jesus didn t march towards their expected goal Jesus Christ is King and His march towards establishing the kingdom was totally on track

Jesus is the KING Who Reigns over us thru His Sovereignty 14 They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful (Revelation 7:14).

Jesus is the KING Who Reigns over us thru His Sovereignty
