Last year Pope Francis has decreed that the optional Holy Thursday foot washing be modified in such a way as to enable the Pastors of the Church from now on to choose the candidates for the rite from among all members of the People of God. Therefore as we did for last Holy Thursday we will again underscore the vital importance of the sacraments by washing the feet of parishioners have recently or will soon celebrate various sacraments. Keeping watch with our Lord: Adoration & reading of the Farewell Discourses (chapters 14-17 of the Gospel of John) following Mass, ending with Night Prayer at 9:15pm.
