We SMITE, Moderator, BRO.. J. M. HENSLEY, Clerk.. FRIDAY'S SESSION, SEPTEMBER 19, 1913, The Sardis Association of churches of Jesus Christ, of Regular Baptists, met with the Big Branch church at the stand prepared. The introductory sermon was delivered by Elder lf!. Be Estep. Text, 2nd Timothy, 4th chapter and 2nd verse: Preach the word. The delegates then assembled at the house and the song, "Brethren we have Met Again" was sung. Prayer by Elder I?. M. Crum. Letters from the different churches called for, read and received, and Delegates seated as shown in the statistical table. The Association organized by electing Elder J. W. Smith Modexator, Elder A. L. Dempsey Assistant, and J. &I. Hensley Clerk, and l!!. B. Estep, Assistant. Newly organized Churches called for, and none responded. Ordered that the Moderator appoint the committees today as follows: 1st. Committee on Ministry for Sunday. I,. T. Preston, J. M. Mullet, IV. M. Crum and Floyd Kirk. 2nd. Committee on Finance : Elder We J. Fields and Frank Fields. 3rd. Committee on Business Arrangements for tomorrm: Elders G. W. Idaynasd, 8. L. Dempsey, H. Me Runyon, V;. B. Estep, with the Moderator and Clerk. Letters from Associations called for, read and received as f 0llow.s : ZION--Letter at the hands of EZders W. Me Srum, J. W. Mullet and Aaron Stepp. BXTRLZICEM--Letter at the hands of Elder Kerrick Queen. Transient Ministers called fos and Elders W..J. Fields, Robert Elswick, \V. B. Estep and Joe Cline came forward and received the right hand of fellowship. Ordered that we correspond with the Zion, New Zion, Bethlehem and Pineville District Associations.

3 The following brethren were appointed to write corresponding letters: Elder A. L. Dempsey, write one to Zion. Elder?!i. 3. Fields, write one to New Zion. Elder T. J. Muncy, write one to Bethlehem. Brother J. M. Hensley write one to Pineville. On motion the Association adjourned until tomorrow.
