AWARD: Lion President Stew called Lion Dave Weber up front and presented him with a membership key for bringing two new Lions into the club! OUR GUESTS: Naomi Zickafoos guest of Lion Herb Z. Sheila Blevins guest of Lion Joy Cox. Nicole Wells guest of Lion George Davis.

3 OUR CONCERNS: Lion George's son Justin Davis had Type A Influenza. George says he is doing much better. Lion Becky Hines has the flu. Lion Arlan's grandson is still under the weather. Lion AJ said his new granddaughter is doing fine but that her mom (Lion Becca) made a trip to the ER today. She apparently has an infection. LuAnn Wurstner's son was in a car wreck today. He is at the Cleveland Clinic and has a possible spinal injury. Lions Gary Warner, Dave White, and Tom Gustin need our prayers. GOOD NEWS: Our weather today was pretty nice. OUR PRAYER: Lion Gene Oliver. OUR MEAL: 4 cheese ravioli in red sauce, Italian meatballs, garlic bread, tossed salad, and Klondike bars for dessert. OUR COOKS: Lions Arlan Cox, George Davis, Jerry Powers, Sam Creech, Linn Davey, Gene Oliver, Bret Sharp, and Neal Senff. KP: Lions Arlan, Jerry, Bret, Sam, and Gene.

4 NEXT WEEK S MENU: Baked pork steaks, escalloped potatoes, peas and onions, rolls, tossed salad, brownies and ice cream for dessert. SECRETARY S REPORT: Lion Joy said we now have Lions bumper stickers for your cars. Cost is $2.00. She also has raffle tickets for Canine Companions for Independence. TREASURER S REPORT: Nothing this week. SONG: Lion Hazel Tanner led us in singing Raindrops Keep Fallin On My Head. MAJOR DONATION: Lion George Davis said that at last week's Board of Directors meeting the Board was asked to consider a donation to Seeds of Hope for the construction of a Homeless Shelter. After lots of discussion, the Board approved a $10, donation. Lion George

explained that a donation of this size has to be approved by the membership. He then moved that we donate $10,000.00 from our Investment account to Seeds of Hope.

Motion carried. MAJOR FUNDRAISER: Lion Neal Senff explained that interest that we make on our investment account pays the clubs bills, taxes, etc. He said that out of the $25,000 we raise each year, most of that money is already allocated to scholarships and other items we fund each year, and that leaves us with about $4000 in discretionary monies for donations. Without another fundraiser, large projects would not be possible on a regular basis. He said the Board had approved a raffle as a fundraiser. Lion Neal made the motion to have a raffle and to set up a committee to determine the specifics of said raffle. Lion Bill Derringer seconded the motion. Motion carried. Anyone interested in serving on the raffle committee should contact Lion Neal Senff or Lion Melinda Stephens.

Frank Wyckoff PDG Norman said anyone who is interested in any of these positions should call him or any of the following members of the Nominating Committee: Stewart Skinner, Fred Hempstead, Neal Senff, Neal French, and Gene Donahue. The date of the election is April 11 th.

7 PILL BOTTLE COLLECTION: Lion Linn Davey told members that we have all the pill bottles we need. NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION: Lion Dee Hathaway will conduct a new member orientation on April 4 th, after our regular meeting. The orientation lasts around 30 minutes. STUFFED ANIMALS: President Skinner said we need more stuffed animals for donation to law enforcement agencies and the fire department. Lion Linn Davey said Dollar Tree has stuffed animals for $1.00. TAILTWISTER: Lion Bret Sharp said someone (Herb Z.?) gave him 25 cents. Lion Neal chipped in a $1.00 and then Lion President Stew knocked our banner down and Lion Neal remarked "That ought to be worth a dollar"! $2.25 tonight! PROGRAMS: Lion Dawn Sorensen said she has 3 programs scheduled between now and June. We will list them in the next Tale. CONGRATULATIONS: Lion Queen Lester was one of eight Ross County women to be named Woman of the Year by the OU-C Women's Giving Circle. Congratulations Lion Queen! Well deserved to say the least! CHILLICOTHE GAZETTE: Lion Richard Cox said the Gazette ran a picture and the story we submitted about the 5 Lions we inducted last week. BOWLING: Terry McComis from Pioneer School is looking for donations for a bowling event. 3 Lions took care of the donation. 2 MORE NEXT WEEK: Next week Sheila Blevins and Nicole Wells will be inducted!

DRAWINGS: Weekly: $ Lion George Lavender's name was drawn but he was not present. The pot grows to $20.00 next week. 50/50: Nicole Wells took home $25.00! Joker: Lion Claudia Weiderman had a chance at taking $ home but drew the Queen of Clubs. She took home a bag of rattlesnake eggs as a consolation prize.

9 HUMOR: A few days after his wife disappeared in a kayaking accident, a Bar Harbor man answered his door to find two grim-faced Harbor Master officers. "We're sorry Mr. Flynn, but we have some information about your wife,". "Tell me! Did you find her?!" Cedric Flynn asked. One officer said, "We have some bad news, some good news, and some really great news"! Fearing the worst, Mr. Flynn said, "Give me the bad news first." The officer said, "I'm sorry to tell you, sir, but this morning we found your wife's body in the bay." "Lord sufferin' Jesus!" exclaimed Flynn. What could possibly be the good news?" The officer continued, "When we pulled her up, she had 12 of the best looking Atlantic Lobsters that you have ever seen clinging to her. Haven't seen lobsters like that since the 60's, and we feel you are entitled to a share of the catch." Stunned, Mr. Flynn demanded, "If that's the good news, then what's the great news?" The officer replied, "We're gonna pull her up again tomorrow."
