Thomas Jefferson s role in writing the Declaration of Independence is important to U.S. history. Abraham Lincoln developed the Emancipation Proclamation. Rosa Park s actions as part of the bus boycott in Montgomery, Alabama, affected equal rights for all s. Martin Luther King s I Have a Dream Speech and his actions helped all s gain equal rights.
