Women s Center engage inform empower When abortion numbers come out for 2015, we expect that abortions will have decreased in each state where clinics have closed. When there is no abortion business marketing their grisly product to vulnerable women, we have found that ladies find other ways of managing life challenges other than taking the lives of their babies. In other words, when abortion clinics close, lives are saved. CLOSED! Barb Stephens, Executive Director UPDATE: This past week (since this newsletter went Winter 2015 to print), we learned the abortion clinic in Ocala has reopened. Please join WPC in praying specifically that God will permanently close this location, sparing women the heartache of abortion and protecting the lives of many precious unborn babies. Great News! According to LifeNews.com, 21 abortion clinics have either ceased operations or closed their doors permanently so far this year, including the one right here in our own community!! I thought I d share with you these quotes by Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, who predicts there will be a noticeable impact due to these closures: The Ocala Women s Center was owned by James Scott Pendergraft IV, who was arrested in South Carolina on October 5 on drug violations and for providing illegal abortions out of his vehicle. Sheriff s deputies discovered him in possession of filthy abortion instruments caked in blood and tissue during a routine traffic stop. Local activists found the Ocala clinic closed. Pendergraft has been desperate for money since he was hit with a nearly $37 million malpractice judgment in 2011 and over $120,000 in fines and costs related to disciplinary action against his medical license. He is currently serving his fifth license suspension in Florida and holds no active license in any state. God is at work! As their doors close, WPC s door opens more than ever! Women who are hurting and scared about an unplanned pregnancy find refuge at WPC a place where they can freely share their fears and concerns without judgment or pressure. We pray and praise because, as they say, when one door closes, another opens. Bring them in, Lord by Your grace, we re here to stay! Sunday 17 JANUARY Sanctity of Human Life Do you really believe all life is sacred? On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22nd as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day, coinciding with the eleven-year anniversary of the day the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion-on-demand in all 50 states. Churches and individuals around the United States continue to use this day to celebrate God's gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage. Will YOU? We encourage you to plan ahead - use January 17, 2016 as a day to stand in the gap for those who can t speak for themselves. Pray for an ultimate end to abortion world-wide! Promote the truth about LIFE in your churches and in your homes! Participate get involved in life-affirming activities (one option may be volunteering at WPC)! Plan ahead to support your favorite pro-life ministries (check out the next page for a great opportunity to give locally) Prepare to see God do amazing things as He intervenes in miraculous ways in the year to come! Call Val at for resources that may be used in your church/small group to help commemorate Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3 Sunday, January 17th Sanctity of Human Life Sunday Monday, January 25th New Volunteer Info Meeting (tentative date, please call to register!) Every Day Clients in Crisis Please Pray! 2 Catch the Vision! WPC is so excited to share our BIG news and we want YOU to be among the first to know! First, a little history For many years, the WPC Board of Directors has prayed fervently that God would allow us to expand our territory in order to meet the growing needs of our community, impacting the lives of even more women and, ultimately, their unborn babies. We have prayed for wisdom, clear direction, and open doors. And patience lots of patience. Then... In 2014, through the faithful gifts of His people, God enabled us to pay off the mortgage on our existing building through our Debt-Free campaign. Several months ago, WPC had the long-awaited and much hoped-for opportunity to purchase the adjacent property to the west of our current building. This parcel is completely paid for as well! Just recently, WPC demolished the obsolete building at 1627 E. Silver Springs Boulevard!

So what s next? Pending approval, we will begin paving the way, literally, for our much-needed new 35-space parking lot! Why? What s the plan? In the spring/summer of 2016, we hope to break ground on a 3,300 sq. foot addition to our existing building.

What will this accomplish? WPC is one of the busiest pregnancy centers in the nation! We have more patient/client visits, more volunteers and more staff than ever before! Our single-location clinic serves more women (and men) in a year than many pregnancy centers with 3 and 4 locations. So far this year alone, WPC has provided the following services, all FREE of charge: 1,721 pregnancy tests with options counseling: 77% (1,339) of those tests were positive (the average pregnancy center in a suburban area performs about 274 positive tests/year. Even centers in urban areas average only 361/year). 1,079 ultrasounds (the average center provides ultrasound for 28% of their clients each year; WPC provides ultrasound for nearly 80% of our girls, giving that first glimpse of their precious unborn baby!) 1,038 Bible-based parenting class visits 4,021 total client visits so far this year! 95% of our clients have chosen LIFE for their baby, including 39 women who once considered abortion to be their only option! At WPC, we believe it s not enough to encourage women and men to choose life for their baby. We want them to truly KNOW Jesus to choose ETERNAL LIFE as well! So far in 2015: 1057 women have heard the gospel or discussed spiritual matters (not to mention the men and women in our parenting classes!) 52 women have prayed to receive Christ as their personal Savior or recommitted their lives to Him! The proposed additional space will provide many things, including: A medical wing including TWO ultrasound rooms with private restroom A Lab for pregnancy testing and future STD/STI testing and treatment A multi-purpose education room for parenting classes and volunteer trainings Additional counseling and group meeting spaces Administrative offices, storage space, and additional restrooms Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Psalm 127:1

How can all this become a reality? Prayer we seek God s blessing and favor every step of the way! We recognize this is HIS ministry and we want to honor and glorify Him in all things throughout this process. Won t you join us in prayer? We encourage others to Catch the Vision! God is at work and we invite people to become part of what He is doing at WPC! We seek professional business owners who would like to donate goods and services to help make this expansion a reality. Call Barb Stephens at if you would like to be involved. Fundraising! We step out in faith, believing that God will continue to provide through the faithful support of our WPC donor family! Our goal is to raise the entire $375,000 cost of the building expansion project so that we may continue to operate debt free. Your gift of any amount will help! Just think it only takes: 2 to donate $25, $50,000 5 to donate $10, $50, to donate $5, $50, to donate $1, $50, to donate $ $50, to donate $ $50, to donate $ $25, to donate $ $25, to donate $ $12,500 Piggy Bank change! $12,500 Total $375,000 Will you join us? Please help us spread the word and be a part of what is happening at WPC! Together, we are making a difference! Remember, this isn t just about a building or additional space - it s about saving lives two at a time! #WeSeeTwo Women s Center

Praising God for His blessings We give God all the glory for the overwhelming success of our 2015 Walk for Life. With the help of 311 Sponsored Walkers, our Partners for Life, generous underwriters and community sponsors, we raised more than $152,000 this year! God s faithfulness and goodness were clearly demonstrated - we were thrilled to have more than 600 people from 61 churches/groups throughout Marion County come out and join us on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning to celebrate LIFE! The outpouring of support from our community is a blessing that will enable us to serve thousands of clients in need who will turn to Women s Pregnancy Center in the year to come. LOVE OUR LIAISONS!
