Why is it that everyone has to stay home when one person is sick, and can t attend worship but can go to work on Monday?

4 Why Is It?? Why is it that people can stand 100 degree weather at a sporting event, but a little perspiration in church is too much for them? Or can attend a sporting event in freezing weather, but can t attend church when it s cold. Why is it that everyone has to stay home when one person is sick, and can t attend worship but can go to work on Monday? That the one that refuses to discipline themselves, will expect perfection in others? That the one that comes in late for services, but will insist on getting out on time? Why is it that someone checks out where everyone is going during services, but has no problem leaving during a prayers? Laughter is good... A merry heart does good like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones. What Do You Worship? A lifestyle? Cars? A house? Spouse? A job? A career? Movies? Video Games? Friends? Computing? Shopping? Water Sports? Hiking? Camping? Reading material? Gossiping? Gardening? Woodworking? Skydiving? Watching TV? Boating? Fishing? Working? Painting? Sewing? Cooking? Grandchildren? Children? Dancing? Gambling? When anything or anyone comes first in your life, before God, there s a problem!

They sleep peaceful without a care and rise up each day to a brave new world. A known fact is that children easily learn another language (foreign to us) because they keep trying and trying by rote till they have a workable vocabulary. No Wonder!! that our Savior said "let the children come unto me" -Mark 10:14. Jesus was definitely a people person -interested in everyone. We need to re-acquire those wonderful child talents, the results would be reflected in church growth. Strong in the Lord of hosts And in His mighty power; who in the strength of Jesus trusts, Is more than conqueror. Ephesians 6:10 - Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord's mighty power within you. Ecclesiastes 4:9 -Two are better than one, because they gain a good reward in their toil. (Let us be strong and we will be able to move that big rock!)

There are many areas of Christian life addressed in the New Testament. The Lord want us to know what is good for our lives. Yet, so often we picture the Bible as a book of commands, each designed to force us into a certain way of life that we forget all God wants for us is that which produces a happy life. Our passage above is one such passage. Many read it and right away decide what to follow and what they won t. If we allow that Jesus is the Son of God and His words are commands of God, designed to benefit us, the idea any human choosing a different path to salvation is very presumptuous. The gospel plan for salvation is for all who believe in the Son of God. The pardon conditions are faith in the Christ and obedience to his command. If we lack the faith to obey we have little of any hope of salvation. Indeed, faith and obedience (baptism) are, in the very words of the Son of God essential to salvation. Baptism is the first command we obey and the others come in due time. But all are designed with our best interest at heart.
