Worth, TX, a must place to see is the Kimble Art Museum. They have just built a new museum that houses a variety of classical artist's works as well as fine 'Western' art. Centrally located close to Downtown Ft. Worth and easy to reach. Tip: Rijksmuseum Amsterdam One of the most famous museums in the world, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is the home of Rembrandt's Night Watch. Concentrating mainly on art but with some exhibits aimed at the history buff, the Rijksmuseum is well worth a visit. Leave plenty of time because it spans three floors in three wings. 3 Tip: Van Gogh Museum The Van Gogh Museum is located on the Museumplein in Amsterdam next to the Stedelijk Museum. It has both general exhibits covering both Renaissance artists and Impressionists and an floor devoted solely to Vincent Van Gogh. Tip: Van Gogh Museum Admission The Van Gogh Museum charges adults NGL (approximately 7USD) for admission. Children aged are charged 5NGL (approximately 2.50USD). Children aged 12 or younger are admitted free, as are school groups that make reservations. Tip: Van Gogh Museum Hours of Admission The Van Gogh Museum is open from 10am to 6pm daily. The museum store is open from 10am to 5:45 daily. Subcategory: Modern Art Tip: Museum of Modern Art Admission The Museum of Modern Art in New York charges $10US for general admission. Student and Senior (65+) admission is $6.50US. Children under 16 accompanied by an adult are free. Tip: Museum of Modern Art Hours The Museum of Modern Art in New York is open from 10:30 am - 5:45 PM Saturday - Tuesday and Thursdays. It is open from 10:30-8:15 on Fridays and closed on Wednesdays. If you are taking a trip to Amsterdam try to avoid Mondays or ensure that you save those museums that are open on Mondays for that day. Tip: Languages of Amsterdam Museums Almost every museum in Amsterdam has all exhibit text in both Dutch and English. Many museums also provide information in French, Spanish, Italian, and German. In addition to the Annex where they lived, there are several rooms of exhibits on the Franks, the other occupants of the house, Miep Gies (who helped those in hiding), and some background information

Subcategory: Jewish History Tip: Joods Historisch Museum Located near Waterlooplein in the Jewish section of Amsterdam, the Joods Historisch Museum (Jewish Historical Museum) is housed in four connected old synagogues. Containing information on the Holocaust, Life as a European Jew, the contributions Jews have made to European industry, and Jewish art and artifacts, the museum is a must see for any history buff. Tip: Joods Historisch Museum Admission The Joods Historisch Museum charges an adult admission of 10 NGL (approximately $4.50 US). Category: Science Subcategory: Exhibits Tip: DNA Model The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia has a giant model of a DNA strand in its Bioscience exhibit. After viewing the model, you can try to build your own smaller DNA strand. Tip: Giant Walkthru Heart The most famous exhibit at the Franklin Institute science museum in Philadelphia is a giant model of a heart. Visitors can walk through this multi-story model using the same path blood would take. Tip: Newton's Dream Newton's Dream is a kinetic sculpture at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Filled with

6 golf balls that can take any of ten paths through the sculpture, Newton's Dream is a visually stunning demonstration of mechanics and machinery. The Franklin Institute has a page highlighting some of the gadgets within Newton's Dream. Tip: Timescape Timescape, one of the newest exhibits at the Ontario Science Center, leads you through 8,000 years of history as you unearth extinct animals. Combining archaeology and the science of time, this exhibit is well worth visiting. Tip: Van de Graaf Generator The Museum of Science in Boston has the world's largest air-insulated Van de Graaf generator. It was originally used in high energy physics experiments at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The generator was donated by MIT when it became obsolete. Subcategory: Franklin Institute Tip: Franklin Institute Admission The Franklin Institute, located in Philadelphia, is one of the world's finest science museums. Admission to the museum only costs $9.75 for adults and $8.50 for children and seniors. Admission to the museum and either the Fels Planetarium or the Tuttleman Omni Theater is $12.75 for adults and $10.50 for children and seniors. Admission to the museum and both the planetarium and IMAX is $14.75 for adults and $12.50 for children and seniors. Discounted prices are in effect on Friday and Saturday evenings after the main museum closes. Tip: Franklin Institute Hours of Operation The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia is one of the world's finest science museums. It is open from 9:30am - 5pm daily. The Mandell Future Center only (not the main museum) remains open until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Subcategory: Planetariums Tip: Second Oldest Planetarium The Fels Planetarium founded in 1934 and located within the Franklin Institute is the second oldest planetarium in America.
