1 Page 1 of 8 PRAYERS & PROCLAMATIONS FOR GOVERNMENT Part 1 Psalm 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession. 1 Kings 3:9 Therefore give to your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. Ezekiel 37:5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones; Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. Father I thank You for your promise in Psalm 2:8, ask of Me, and I shall give you the nations for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession So I ask boldly for the nation of Australia, for the government of this land. I ask that our government will reclaim its Christian heritage as many of our nation s founding patriarchs and matriarchs were Godly men and women. We rededicate ourselves to You. I declare that it is the destiny of our nation to be the land of the Holy Spirit as proclaimed by Fernandez de Quiros in I declare that Your sovereign plan and purposes for our nation will be fulfilled. I thank You that You are at work in this land and the day of Your visitation is at hand. That You will restore this nation to its first love. I thank You for leaders in our government who will build on their knees. I declare that You will grant us righteous leaders who will have Your wisdom to guide this nation (I Kings 3:9). Leaders who can discern between good and bad advice and leaders with the courage and conviction to make the righteous decisions. I declare that our Parliament House, the seat of government, on Capital Hill, will be a light on the hill for this nation. Laws that will be passed will exalt this nation (Pro 14:34). Holy Spirit, we invite You to come and breathe life into the valley of dry bones (Eze 37:5). I declare that an exceeding great army of heart hearers, adoration pillars and hope craftsmen will be raised up in Australia starting from Canberra, the nation s capital. I pray this in Jesus name, amen.

And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Daniel 2:21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; Daniel 4:17 This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men. 2 Sam 23:3 The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me: He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God.

Jeremiah 1:10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant." Psalm 33:11 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations Father we acknowledge You are the Most High God and that You rule in the kingdom of men. Your authority over the all the nations of the earth is supreme and absolute. You have the power to remove and set up those in authority in the mountain of Government in Canberra and in Australia. Your word declares righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people. We ask that You would at this time and in this season exercise Your authority over the city of Canberra and over the nation of Australia according to the good plans of Your heart. Father we ask that You would raise up and establish righteous political leaders in Canberra and in Australia, men and women who will acknowledge You rightly and reverentially fear You. Father we ask that You would decisively intervene from Heaven to overrule evil decrees (legislation) that are in place in our nation which are contrary to Your Holy Word and prosper righteous pathways and endeavours. Lord we declare Your counsel for the mountain of Government in Australia stands forever. We declare the release of supernatural power NOW to bring the Federal, State and Territorial governments into divine alignment with Your will. We ask that You would root out, pull down, destroy and throw down what is not of You and establish all the plans of Your heart now and to every succeeding generation. We call for release of the Daniels, the Josephs and the Esthers and

4 Page 4 of 8 that You would unlock every right door for these ones to ascend and be established in the mountain of Government. We declare this all in the name of Jesus, amen. Part 3 Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Father, we thank You for the promise that the government will be on the shoulder of Your Son. That is Your promise and we claim it. We declare that in 2012, You will establish the government of this city and this nation on Your shoulders. We know that Your will is for godly government in Australia and that can only come about when the government is established on Jesus shoulder. Sometimes it seems like that is so far away, when we look at what is happening and the attempts to normalise what is clearly against You and Your purposes. But what we see today are just skirmishes in this battle that You will win. We do not lose heart but we place our hope in You because You do not look at the state of the government today but You see beyond, to what You have purposed for this nation. And what You have purposed is good. Today, we choose to see the government of this city and this nation through Your eyes. We see a city and nation that will be led in righteousness. No more will decisions be made on popularity or political power. No more will godliness and righteousness in the political sphere be the exception, but they will be the norm. Walls will be torn down and doors will be opened for godliness to come into the corridors of government and righteousness will flourish right in the chambers where decisions are made. The leaders and the people will enquire of the LORD and You will lead the nation in ways that are beyond our natural understanding. So Your name will be known and so it will be known that You are GOD in Canberra and Australia. We thank You for the shift that we will see in government in 2012 and we rejoice in what You will do in Canberra and Australia. In Jesus name, amen. Part 4 Revelation 4:11 You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power;

Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 7 Page 7 of 8 13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 11:36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. Luke 1:37-38 For with God nothing will be impossible. 38 Then Mary said, Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her. Philippians 2:5-9 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, Father in Heaven I pray that those in Government and positions of authority will see You as the one true God, creator of all things; that by Your will they were brought into being and are sustained; that You are ever present, active and all powerful. I pray they will see Jesus as Lord and recognize that all authority is from You Lord Jesus, and that You are interactive in its administration. You pull down, raise up, enable, guide and direct. I speak Your order Lord Jesus into all administrations of authority here in Canberra and throughout the Nation, Lord that Your kingdom would come and Your will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. I pray that they will recognise that it is only in You that there is true hope and a blessing for the future. I ask that in Your mercy You would grant those in authority the desire to come into the place You have reserved for them with You, and the continuing grace to seek You and follow as You lead Lord Jesus.
