Being so well versed in the classics of religious music, it is with great satisfaction that he is enabled to introduce these annual Friday evenings, devoted to the Ministry of Music - in our Temple. Through his efforts for more music by the great classic Composers, more and more Temples are introducing these great works in their musical services. Weare indeed fortunate to have the Services of so great an organist as Joseph Yasser; he is recognized in the musical world as a musicologist and has written many important books. Chaplain Ittamar Ro= of the SouTh African Army will be the guest of the Rodeph Sholom League on the evening of April 29th. He will speak on "From the Veldt to Galilee", the story of Jewish youth in South Africa and in Palestine. Chaplain Romm was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, left this country at the age of 12 to study in Palestine and went on, at 17, to South Africa, where he played a leading role in the activities of Jewish youth. During ' the war he enlisted as a chaplain and served through the North African and Italian campaigns. After peace was declared, he spent considerable time revisiting the cities and collectives of Jewish Palestine. He is now on a lecture tour of the United States and we are most pleased to be able to present him as the seventh in our series on "Jewish Youth and Culture."
