4 Introduction: Plastic and reconstructive surgery is becoming a more important field in the world and middle east, research and techniques are developing quickly especially in the last few decades. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has excelled in this field in the past few years, and this has had a huge impact especially on the neighboring Arabian countries. We sincerely hope that the Kingdom is always leading in every aspect, especially in the medical field where it has become one of the pioneers. About the Symposium: The Saudi Symposium for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the first of its kind in the kingdom. The symposium aims to develop the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and be a connection point between the plastic surgeons from Saudi Arabia and The Gulf Region, and for them to able to get updated on all that s new regarding research, medical equipment and machines, drugs, etc. We are hoping that this symposium becomes one of the leading events in the middle east. The symposium will also include many doctors and professors from all around the world including Canada, USA, and Europe, and of course an elite of Saudi doctors, consultants, specialists, and professors from universities and hospitals from all around the kingdom, as well plastic surgery residents. 5 The Symposium Objectives : To be a connection point between everyone in the world of cosmetics To be a connection point between the companies, surgeons, and speakers from all around the globe Adding to the content of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in the kingdom Discussing the latest technologies and research the field of cosmetics and surgery A spotlight on the leading role of Saudi doctors Training plastic surgery residents and developing their skills Showing the role of Saudi Arabia in leading important events Aiming to repeat the Symposium annually till it become an well known international meeting point Venue Riyadh Grand Ballroom The symposium will be held at the Movinpick Hotel in Riyadh City, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The arena is 1200 m2 and can be divided into three equal halls. We have found the halls to be a perfect place for holding the big event, showrooms, activities, and workshop where it could hold up to 1750 guest. 6 The Date of the Symposium: The Symposium will be held in April 2018 for 3 consecutive days, of April: First day, 14 th of April 2018: On the first day of the symposium, lectures will be held by Saudi & International speakers containing the latest updates in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Second day, 15th of Apil 2018: This will be a continuation to the first day. It is expected that about 15 speakers will lecture on this day. The day will end by honoring the respected local and international speakers. Third day, 16th of April 2018: This day will be mainly for Saudi Plastic Surgery residents, where they re going to discuss their latest research with the consultants and professors to develop their knowledge and research skills.
