Hashem and DCEOs received well-wishers on the occasion of the Adha Feast at the Guest House, Ahmadi City, in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. Hashem told Energy newsletter that the welcoming of employees and well-wishers on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha was a firm customary tradition of the Company on this dear occasion to the whole Muslim nation. He added that this occasion was an opportunity for communication, coherence and fostering ties between the Higher Management and the Company employees, as well as with Contractors working on KOC projects. The reception ceremony was attended by Former Chairman and Managing Director Sami Al-Rushaid and a number of the oil installations security officers. The ceremony ended with prayers to Almighty Allah for many happy and prosperous returns of this blessed occasion, and peace and security for Kuwait, its people and expatriates living on its soil, under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, may Allah protect them. Hashem inaugurated the 1st phase of the new building of the Dental Care Services at the Ahmadi Hospital. The building comprises 18 clinics equipped with the latest and cutting-edge tools in this field. In a speech he delivered on this occasion, Hashem hailed the high standard of the available equipment and affirmed KOC s eagerness to provide its staff and the oil sector employees in general with the best health services, based on its belief that human resources are the most important investment to which priority is always accorded. He urged the concerned parties to conclude the 2nd phase of the project on the agreed-upon time of 18 months and asserted that the KOC Management will spare no efforts to provide every possible means in order to enhance the medical care services for the benefit of employees and their families. DCEO for Administrative & Financial Affairs Saad Rashed Al-Azmi that the KOC Management strongly supports the improvement of the Ahmadi Hospital services and will continue to provide it with the best medical and nursing staff, in addition to the most modern equipment. Al-Azmi added that this comes within the framework of a health care package comprising an advanced Health Insurance system in addition to a close follow-up of the treatment. 2

Hashem, DCEO (Planning & Gas) Menahi Al-Enezi visited Ahmadi Hospital patients on the 2nd Day of Eid Al-Adha to congratulate them on this blessed occasion. Al-Enezi told Energy Newsletter that such visit was a longtime custom in KOC to be reassured about patients status in celebrations and national occasions, to congratulate them and to present them with gifts. Landfill Facilities For Hydrocarbon Contaminated Soil New Contract Between KOC And Al-Baddah Co. A contract have been signed between KOC and Naser Mohammad Al- Baddah & Partner for General Trading & Contracting Company charging the latter with building landfill facilities for Hydrocarbon contaminated soil (Group A). The contract was signed for KOC by SEO Hashem S. Hashem and for the contracting company by its Chairman Naser Al-Baddah. The contract-signing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials from both sides. The contract was signed in respect of the Environmental Rehabilitation Program Under United Nations Legislation For Indemnification. Soil Remediation TL (Projects 2) Faris Al-Mansouri told Energy that the Contract was highly important for soil remediation in S&EK Directorate and the interest accorded to the Program within the State of Kuwait. Al-Mansouri labeled the project as a good starting for the implementation of soil remediation and a key milestone for the development of the KERP and wished the new partners success within the HSE and time-bound expectations in order for the KERP (Kuwait Environmental Remediation Program) to achieve its desired objectives. 6

7 Entertainment Festival For Employees Children 2nd, 3rd Adha Eid Days At Hubara Club, Unity Centre The Ahmadi Services Team organised an entertainment festival for children on the 2nd and 3rd days of Eid Al-Adha. Held on two consecutive nights at the Hubara Club and the Unity Centre, the festival gathered employees, families and children in a joyful atmosphere. A number of entertainment contests for minors and adults were organised and gifts and prizes were awarded to the children, who also enjoyed sharing their parents the Adha celebration.
