Friday Sermon 4 th September 2015 Hujjatul Islam Ustad Syed Jawad Naqvi (Principal Jamia Orwatul Wuthqa Lahore, Jamia Jafaria Gujranwala) Delivered at: Jamia Masjid Allama Mufti Jafar Gujranwala Pakistan Translated By: Syed Arif Rizvi

In the name of Allah (s.w.t) I invite you and myself towards Taqwa. You should adopt Taqwa in your life and in every aspect of your life; your way of living should of Taqwa. Taqwa is the divine way of living hence if this important point is ignored by parents and they themselves do not possess Taqwa then its effects will come on their children and this way the effects of not possessing Taqwa passes through generations. There are historical evidences also present whereby one family and parents left Taqwa and as a result their generations lost Taqwa and due to which they caused destruction in religion, Ummah and the capital of religion. The killers of Karbala are the children of such non Taqwa persons due to which they came to Karbala. The people from well known families came to Karbala and killed the progeny of Prophet. And this repeated a lot in history and if you do a research on such persons then you can see that effect of non Taqwa parents have been behind this. One effect of non Taqwa is Haraam food being served by parents to children. A Haraam morsel prevents man from listening to preaching. The doyen of Martyrs (a.s) on the day of Ashura tried a lot to preach the army of Umar ibn Saad but every time they would make noise to not listen and did not allow others also to listen to him. When Imam saw that they are not ready to listen he said I know why you are not prepared to listen to him because your bellies have haram morsels inside you and haram morsels has its effects. Parents who do not have Taqwa serve Haraam food to their children. They make the eyes of children impure; they destroy their chastity, modesty which are gems made for human beings. Allah has not made any other creation modest and chaste but at times man does not feel ashamed and modest because he is without Taqwa, living in a home without Taqwa due to which he loses his chastity and modesty. Taqwa is the name of divine living whereby all aspects of life, dealings, relationships, business, and friendships all should be associated with Taqwa. The way of life, its style should be of Taqwa which is a means of salvation established for believers. This is not by birth that man is born with Taqwa and it is preserved till end. Taqwa is to be acquired and it is a very important point for everyone and you should be aware about what are the things which we have got by birth and what things are those which we have to acquire (Qasbi). Man becomes only what he acquires as attributes. All good traits of man are acquired and not by birth. All the things that are by birth are not the privileges for man. Like the color of man; he would not be examined on color, he did not acquire the color so that he can be rewarded. Same way is lineage; man will not be asked from which lineage you belong to. Acquired things are the assets of man which man has acquired himself. Color of skin, height, face, eyes are not the assets of man in this world or in hereafter. For man those things are his capital which he has acquired by his efforts and on the basis of these man will be rewarded, tested and examined. Taqwa is acquired and not by birth. Man is not with Taqwa but the ability, potential of Taqwa is present inside him. Similarly he is not born Faasik Fajir (corrupt and transgressing) but he is born with abilities and potential. In Surah Shams Allah says that we have placed man on the crossroad of Taqwa and Fujoor (transgression). Allah has not made man by birth either Faasik or Muttaqee; but orientations are kept inside him towards both and man has to select one of them. Either he has to adopt Fisk o Fujoor and 1

walk on this path or take the path of Taqwa and make his life as that of Taqwa. Thus Taqwa is something to be acquired though ability is given by birth hence man has to make efforts. Quran has mentioned the means of acquiring Taqwa, its state and style. Quran has discussed Taqwa in various subjects. And one of them is the status of Muttaqeen. If someone reaches the degree of Taqwa then what he will acquire and if he does not become Muttaqee then what will he be deprived of. Today I will present the verse 85 of Surah Maryam, in which one dimension of the status of Taqwa is mentioned here. In this verse also there is comparison of end of people with Taqwa and without Taqwa. When person with Taqwa goes in hereafter how he will go and one without Taqwa how will he go. Quran has used various titles against Taqwa, there is Faasik, Munafiq, Fajir, Kafir and in this verse of surah Maryam there is Mujrim (guilty) as the opposite title against Taqwa. This means if man is not Muttaqee then he is Mujrim and there is no other state in between. Like we say that he is not a very good believer but he is not Faasik also. Quran says that this is not correct; there is Taqwa and against It is Taghwa; man is either Muttaqee or Taghoot; either he is with Taqwa or with Taghwa. There is only one of these states and nothing in between. Here Mujrim (guilty) is used against Taqwa, where both have to be present in front of Allah. أ لم ت ر أ أ ر س ل ن ا ال شي اط ين ع ل ى ال ك اف ر ين ت و زه م أ ز ا {83} Do you not see that We have sent the Shaitans against the unbelievers, inciting them by incitement? ف لا ت ع ج ل ع ل ي ه م إ نم ا ن ع د له م ع د ا {84} Therefore be not in haste against them, We only number out to them a number (of days). ي و م نح ش ر ال م ت ق ين إ لى ال رحم ن و ف د ا {85} The day on which We will gather those who are Muttaqeen to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors Have you not seen that we have sent Shaitan towards infidels? Allah says that the way people are Allah selects for them similar associates. The way the community is their leader will also be like that; the way the people have orientation similarly they will get that only. Some people have oppressors dominating them and religions says that this is because they desire so (means they desire oppressors to govern them). It is not that they write petition and ask for oppressors to govern them. It means people adopt such kind of life style that they are inviting oppressors to rule on them. Today if we look at our society then greed, lust are on its peak and people are trying to acquire means, wealth, position, status, capital through any possible legitimate or illegitimate means. If someone from the city comes and says this plot we know it belongs to a widow but we want to give you; we are ready to take it and just do not consider that this is a usurped property of someone. At present even the government is concerned about Haram meat that is being sold today. Generally government is not concerned with such things because most of the time it is done under their supervision only; but when such crimes become public and everyone starts to do it then it develops sensitivity. It has gone to this level that the government has declared that all food items sold are adulterated in the market and all this is because of greed which is present in everyone. If we have desired to acquire wealth through all possible illegitimate means then Allah also does not stops us and the ways become open. The ways opening means such devils come up who create an atmosphere in accordance with the orientation of people and provide all the means. This is why Allah has associated this with his essence that we do this. This kind of notification is there in many instances in Quran, that 2

we misguided, we straiten the sustenance, etc. some people think that man has no intervention in this and Allah has to do everything in this. Like a person is going on the right path and Allah does not wants him to go on the right path hence Allah misguides him. This is not in accordance with the essence of Allah, which is sacred, purified, just and such kind of oppression is not expected from Allah whereby Allah misguides someone who is on the right path or someone is going on the misguided path and does not wants to come and Allah imposes guidance on him. Quran has denied this and Allah has given man the authority and right of choice and in accordance with man s choice Allah grants him opportunity. There are many verses, where Allah says that some people want world, we give them world. Some say we need goodness of world and goodness of hereafter, he will also get these. This is because Allah s function is to give and he will give to both. Whatever anyone is asking we will give hence you should pay attention on what you are asking. At times man asks from tongue and at times a person asks from his state. He makes his appearance such that you know he is demanding this. Some beggars are like this only that they make their state such that people give them. Man also makes his state in front of Allah such that Allah knows that he desires and what are his orientations and gives him in accordance to that. This is the law of Allah. Those who desire misguidance Allah sends Shaitan towards him in the disguise of man. Shaitan is not an essence instead it is the title of Iblis. Like a Prophet is not a prophet by essence; by essence he is human being but Allah has given him the status of Prophethood. The one who misguides is Iblis and Shaitaniyat is the attribute of Iblis and anyone who becomes a victim of this attribute is a Shaitan whether he is amongst human being and Jinn s. Some people make their state and orientation such that Allah sends Shaitan towards them. Like if they want to do any worldly or a religious act just out of interest or show off only Shaitan will come towards them; no divine guide will be sent to them. Shaitan is sent because their desires and interests are of Shaitaniyat. Those who want to create seditions (Fitnah) they will not get divine guides; those who are experts in doing seditions will be sent towards them. If you be attentive towards the verse 82 of Surah Maryam أ لم ت ر أ أ ر س ل ن ا ال شي اط ين ع ل ى ال ك اف ر ين ت و زه م أ ز ا {83} Do you not see that We have sent the Shaitans against the unbelievers, inciting them by incitement? Why did Allah not send Prophets towards unbelievers and instead Shaitan? This is because the infidels desire that Shaitans should come towards them. The hypocrites and ignorant desire Shaitaniyat; their intentions, plans, stratagems are all devilish hence we have sent Shaitans to them who incite them. ف لا ت ع ج ل ع ل ي ه م إ نم ا ن ع د له م ع د ا {84} Therefore be not in haste against them, We only number out to them a number (of days). Now you should not hasten as to why Allah is not destroying these unbelievers and why Allah is tolerating them. We have done all arrangements for their destruction and at the end it is the system of Allah. Then in verse 85 ي و م نح ش ر ال م ت ق ين إ لى ال رحم ن و ف د ا {85} 3

The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors It would be the day of Judgement and the Muttaqeen will be brought in the presence of merciful in the form of Wafd.(و ف د ا) There are few words used in this verse which we will return to after completing the next verse. و ن س وق ال م ج ر م ين إ لى ج ه ن م و ر د ا {86} And We will drive the guilty to hell thirsty The Muttaqeen will be brought in the presence of Allah whereas the Muttaqeen will be brought in the state of Wafd و ف د ا whereas the guilty will be dumped into hell and their intercession will also not be done. لا يم ل ك ون ال شف اع ة إ لا م ن ا تخ ذ ع ن د ال رحم ن ع ه د ا {87} They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah. Intercession is not for guilty or criminals; it is for only those who have made a covenant with Allah. This is very clear in this verse here. Allah will not pardon them and they will not be eligible for anyone intercession. The two verses 85 and 86 are comparison of Muttaqeen and Mujrimeen (guilty). For Muttaqeen it is said that Allah s essence will bring them on the day judgement and they will be brought in the presence of merciful (Rahman). Imam Sadiq (a.s) says that the names of Allah are the doors of cognizance (Maarifat) of Allah. The people who recite these names as hymns to get some effects by just oral recitations. It is true that there is an effect of the names of Allah, but Wird is not just oral recitation of the names of Allah. This name of Allah Rahman or Rahim is the source of mercy of Allah. Allah manifests his essence as merciful in both this world and hereafter. We have been asked to start every act with Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim because Rahman and Rahim are two sources of Allah mercy in this world and hereafter. If you want to have Allah s mercy on you then you should call Allah with these names. But this is not just oral recitation that you say this for 100 or 1000 times and Allah s mercy will come. For getting the mercy of Allah you should deliver your role and remember Allah with these titles and develop the relationship with Allah on the basis of mercy then Allah s mercy will come on you. When Muttaqeen will go on the day of Judgement; they will be handed over to the mercy of Allah. Allah s says we will bring ourselves the Muttaqeen and they will come in the presence of Rahman in the state of Wafd. Wafd و ف د ا means visiting as a guest to someone in an honorable state. Thus Muttaqeen will be brought by Allah themselves under the shadow of his mercy that too in an honorable state. Now against Muttaqeen are Mujrimeen who will be herded to hell and not simply walked to hell. They will not be taken into the presence of merciful. They will be dumped in hell and there will be no intercession. 4

Thus in this verse Mujrimeen (guilty) are against the Muttaqeen. Muttaqeen will be respectfully brought to Allah and in certain verses it is mentioned that Angels will send salutations on them. The way in the beginning of creation of man; the Angels prostrated to man now in the end they will salute to Muttaqeen. They will salute on them that you did not get adulterated despite of being in an environment where there was adulteration from everywhere, sedition from everything, corruption and from Shaitan and you kept yourself protected and lived a protected life. SECOND SERMON I invite you and myself towards divine Taqwa that you should adopt Taqwa in every aspect, step and dimension of your life. You should make Taqwa as the style of living because our way of living is ancestral, and we have to make it divine. We have the concept of religion in our minds, love for religion in our hearts, but there is no religion in our practical lives. We have religious desires but practically we do not have the shadow of Allah s divine system in our lives. There are many people who are deprived of even this, that they do not even have love for Allah, and majority of people on earth are completely unaware of Allah and their ears are foreign to the name of Allah, and maybe not a single time their tongues have said Allah. First we used to think that the name of Allah was scarce in the villages, but now it is even rarer in cities and towns. In cities there is lavishness of life and this lavishness is demonstrating its effects. This lavish world which is intoxicated with bounties, lusts, wealth and various forms of lavishness, their minds are empty of the concept of Allah and their hearts are empty of the love of Allah. The Quran says that some are like that, even when only the name of Allah is mentioned they develop hatred in their hearts, and become uncomfortable as to why only name of Allah is mentioned and why not other s name is mentioned. We should be grateful that our minds have Allah, we have name of Allah on our tongues and it is a fact that we have love of Allah in our hearts, but all this is not enough until our lives come under the system of Allah. The important thing is the divine system which means a divine way of living. The System of Guidance which Allah has made is a prerequisite and means for establishment of a divine system, and unless that system of Allah is present then having Allah in our minds, tongues and hearts is of no use. As per Allama Iqbal, Zabaan ne kah bhi diya La Ilaha to kya haasil (even if tongue expresses La ilaha what have you achieved). When we acquire Taqwa and move towards the divine system. It is impossible that we remain negligent towards divine system of life and still aspire to become Muttaqee. Taqwa is the system of life which Allah has established and only by abstaining from worldly life you cannot achieve Taqwa. Some people leave the world and go and sit in caves by disconnecting from society. They think that we are away from sins and hence we possess Taqwa. This way Taqwa cannot be acquired. For Taqwa there is a divine system and by only turning towards it a man can become possessor of Taqwa. Whether it is in Friday prayers, in Majlis, in mosques, everyone has this obligation to make the society, to make the system to make everything with Taqwa and provide Taqwa for lives. It should not be the way it is now that we have made self carved religious standards; whereby one considers teaching as entire religion; other considers learning as entire religion, and someone else in some other work considers that as total religion. These are standards which we have adopted for religion on the basis of our desires and these are miles away from Taqwa. We should establish the society and our lives on the basis of Taqwa which is not seen now. The moment a ground without Taqwa opens, a believer also rushes towards it to become part of it. Like wherever there is an entertainment, dance, singing going on the believer also says let me also take part in it for some time. Now there is a new trend that some believers have made the forbidden things as religious and they do such things under the title of celebration of religious events. They do singing, dancing on the birth anniversary of Imams so that no 5

one can object them and if someone objects they say he is an enemy of Imam and not happy with Imam s birthday. If there is Taqwa inside a man then his attraction is not towards worldly life and wrong things. The way Imam e ASR (a.t.f.s) guides us that what should you have attraction towards? This is a supplication of Imam e Asr (a.t.f.s) Allahumma Inna Nargabo Alaika Fi Daulatan Kareema. Imam e ASR says that if you want to invoke Allah then do it this way, by which you express that I am attracted towards a divine system of governance. What kind of governance? In which Islam is dignified along with its followers, and hypocrites are disgraced along with their followers (Wa Tu Izzo bihal Islam WA Ahlahy and WA tudhillo bihal Nifaq WA Ahlahu). There should be a system in which I should also play a role and not remain unconcerned, and I should be amongst those who are inviters and forwarders towards the right path. A government in which you will give us dignity, nobility and goodness for this world and hereafter. This should be the attraction of followers of Imam. Today in what things do we have attraction? We think just imagination and love for us is enough, and practical orientation and attraction is not necessary. We should think seriously on the teachings of Infallibles and where they are guiding us? If dignified government is not there, then it is difficult to live under its shadow. The tradition says that world is a prison for a believer. This is because when the atmosphere is not of Taqwa then the world becomes a prison for the believer. But if we want we can come out of this prison, with the attraction towards it we can come out of this prison. Today wherever we are in religious context, is also due to our attraction towards it; if we leave the attraction then this religiousness also will be gone. Man gets only those things towards which he is attracted and oriented towards. At present the global issues that are going on, and insecurity which is present in the region. We can say that the kind of situation that has developed in Iraq, Syria and Yemen has become complex. Allah knows what is the reality that after reaching a decisive point then again a complicated situation comes up. From the outside if we see that one map is present in all the three places. In Syria and Iraq there is ISIS present, and behind them is West, Jews and Arabs. In Yemen also it is the same story, and one point I would like to mention about Yemen which I said two years ago, that the upcoming encounter in which Saudi Arab will come in the field and that too against Iran. The battlefield would be another place which has already started in Iraq and Yemen. The stage that is coming up is revealing that Yemen in reality is becoming a training ground for Saudi forces because Saudi army from the time it was born has never fought any battle. They bring forces on deputation from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt and their princes do not fight. The Saudi forces are the most useless army and many have written including some Pakistani Generals that these Saudis are not made for war, and they have a useless army which does not know anything about war. But someone wants them to fight for a proxy war, which means it is war of someone else which these Saudi have to fight. Like Pakistan fought the American war in Afghanistan. The same way is Saudi Arabia fighting their own war for someone else. It is the battle of someone else which they have to fight for their own survival. They have two options to either fight this proxy war or Saudi Arab should prepare for democracy the way it happened in other Arab nations. In order to be secure from this democratic revolution they have been asked to fight this war in which Israel has to be given protection. The actual war is of the forces that are behind, and Israel is also fighting a proxy war. It is not fighting its own war; the Jewish Zionism of Israel is fighting the battle of Christian Zionism. All the seditions in the world are from Christian Zionism but the rented force that is in front of them is Jewish Zionism. This Jewish Zionism is weak and after their battle with Hezbollah they have been exposed that they cannot fight and cannot bear the strokes of Ali s followers. Hence the plan was changed and a new army of Takfiris was prepared as ISIS and some others which are part of the same Zionism. The Saudi s are not even ready to take training and they have left the borders of 6

Yemen. Their entire force is on aerial bombing by which they want to destroy Yemen. Now they are talking to Egyptian army to get their forces but still they are not even ready to go along with them. These preparations are going on for another war which will not happen in other place but might be direct. These are the deceptive stratagems but on the other Allah has also devised a plan. Allah says that if devilish powers deceive then Allah turns their deception on them. Like today Turkey is pursued to attack ISIS whereas Turkey was the state who provided all the means for establishing ISIS. This is because this filth of ISIS which they made for others now has turned towards them and their country is becoming insecure. This is Allah law that those who dig trenches for the righteous servants of Allah; Allah throws them in their own pits. In all these three countries the situation is becoming complicated and some issues are showing its effects on them. I will mention it in a separate discussion why everything has been knotted. It was reported that in Iraq that Al Anbar was about to be released quick but it did not happen. In Syria the ISIS was crashing down but everything has stopped. In Yemen a decisive situation had come up but then again it got entangled, which is due to some other global situation that this is happening. For Pakistan, one event that is coming up on 6 th of September which used to be a national holiday which is no more a holiday. Today our children only know those events on which there are holidays. 6 th of September is a significant day which was titled as Defense Day but now forgotten because we don t see the need for defense. This day is again here and the activities going on the borders from the other side are reaching their peak. This is because Pakistan is weak internally and all segments of Pakistan like economy, life, security are all weak. This 6 th September which is celebrated as Defense day whereby Pakistani forces defended its borders, but now when there is a threat on border our Prime Minister has immediately gone to America with proofs that we have danger on borders. They have presented the proofs to America and Britain which proves our weakness. If our borders are in danger then the enemies should also feel the same threat and panic. Why did you not inform this threat to the Pakistani community? You should have told the community that we have danger on our borders and when community becomes a defender of a country then no one can defeat them. This is the reason Yemen will never be defeated and even if all Arabs unite and attack Yemen then also it will not be defeated though it might turn to dust. This is because the Yemeni people are defending their country. For Pakistan if America and Britain are going to defend it, then with such enemies disguised as friends of Pakistan then no one can protect Pakistan. At present both internal and external difficulties are on their peak. We are given the impression that things are coming under control but when we see these issues taken up to America and Britain we know that the issues are serious. But the community should not remain unconcerned; the politicians and rulers have their own world but the community has their own world. Many have come and gone but the actual inheritors of the nation is the community and the Ummah. The community also has their small daily issues but this should not keep us neglected from the national issues. The way Allama Iqbal has said that O Ignorant! You should think about your nation because calamities are about to come; your news of destruction are going on in heavens. For the defense of nation both dimensions need to be considered; the internal seditions should end and the external threats should be evaded and both should be done with the contribution of people. Terrorism and corruption are declared as the two big seditions internally and efforts are being made to end them, but the chief justice also every other day issues the statements about community action plan that this has become a mockery. If you look at the judiciary statements you can see what Judiciary is saying and what media is saying is totally different. If these two elements can end then a peaceful environment can get established. In order to end them I have told before that you have to eradicate 7

its root causes but if you only try to eliminate its effects, it will not end. Terrorism will not end with operations against terrorists and it will only end if you start operations against terrorism. We need to find out from where terrorism got born and these root causes should be kept in mind. I have pointed this out before that in Pakistan as well as the world, specifically the religious segment has been brought out in the field by utilizing their prejudice, sectarianism, foolishness and weakness, hence by ending this group terrorism will not end. There is no think tank seen in studying the causes behind terrorism. This is a vacuum in Pakistan that there is no think tank which can analyze the issues on scientific and intellectual grounds. In other states such projects are given to universities and scholars. Like if there is an economic crisis then banks are not asked to control them; banks are the implementation segment of economy they are not the think tank. Whenever banks are asked to improve the economic conditions of the state they will not be able to do it and instead destroy it further. Those who can do this work are scholars and experts of economy; they should sit and analyze the causes of economic crisis and downfall. They should point out the causes and give it to the system to change certain things or put restrictions on certain things. Similarly for homeland security you cannot just give it to Police to establish peace; first a group of experts, scholars should sit at the back, study, and analyze the crimes in the country and then prepare a map for Police to implement. This segment is like Pathology which has to diagnose the cause of disease but in Pakistan we are trying to cure without diagnosing hence we don t know which vein they will cut. We are daily associated with pathology. When someone is sick we take the patient to doctor and doctor asks to take to pathology to carry out tests; the tests are done and Pathological laboratory sends the report to the doctor and then the doctor will prescribe medicines or surgery. It is not like the traditional physicians who were holding the pulses or looking into eyes and then directly giving medicines. We have medical pathology but not social pathology. In one gathering in Karachi University I gave a suggestion that you should establish a faculty for Social Pathology. Their Vice chancellor agreed to this suggestion and after the program sat with me separately, and said that for the first time I got attentive towards this point but it is a very difficult thing to do considering the bureaucratic nature of our systems and if we have to do it formally then it takes such a long time. He said to me that you support us and we can establish this informally in our university but we don t know anything about this; it is the first time we have heard this term of Social Pathology though we realize and understand its need. He expressed his readiness to do and we also pledged to support them but in Pakistan doing it informally is also not easy and hence it did not happen. It is a need which Government should fulfill; they should gather scientists of sociology who understand the society ; whose roles are to understand the nerves of the society and then after establishing this faculty they should be given time to analyze the causes of the problems of society. This work is not happening because the Pakistani temperament is not built like that, that Scholars should do something, our requirement of Scholars is fulfilled by those Zakirs who do not even have basic education. Religion which is the most difficult and deep faculty of human beings ; and the person who is teaching religion if you ask him what is his education you will be surprised. If we replaced our doctors, lawyers etc. with someone like that, then it will be total destruction. This is a gap and vacuum in Pakistan that no work in Pakistan starts with scientific analysis whether for economy, security or defense. We don t find this to be necessary. For corruption we should analyze and find the causes and roots of corruption. If they catch one corrupt person who has done big scam people become happy. If the dacoits and thieves are killed, does robbery end with this? By killing terrorists terrorism will not end it will only end when its roots are eradicated. Its roots are not known to police, engineers, doctors and industrialists; it is known to sociologists only. A doctor can do medical pathology but not social pathology. Like for example if someone has studied Arabic in Madrassah then also he is not an automatic scholar. This is a real 8

incident about a youth who comes to us. He went to a doctor for some sickness. The doctor measured his pulse and told him that you have brain tumor and you are going to die very soon. He was the only son and his parents were also very worried. After a long time we knew that this is an issue; then we asked some of our friends to get him tested. He was taken to MRI tests and found that there is nothing except that his nose gets blocked due to which he gets breathing problem. This youth says that he took that report and went to the same doctor and doctor said the report looks fine but you still get a brain surgery done. He was astonished as to why should I get surgery. He wants to get him operated to get some benefits for the doctor. If Pathology is not there and if we diagnose without Pathology then tumor will be found in the brain. Today they say that so and so place has elements of terrorism which is not true. The roots of terrorism is somewhere else which is also known to everyone. Social pathology is not just required for countering terrorism instead it is necessary for the survival of the country. For social pathology we need social scientists and for that we need social sciences and Pakistanis hate social sciences and no one is ready to study them. In Social sciences there is Philosophy, there is human psychology and various other sciences which are known as human sciences. If we see the stability in Western society then it is not due to their industrialization; it is their social laws that have made them peaceful. They got this opportunity from social sciences to make their society strong, the society where we are also attracted. If we want security and stability in Pakistan both internally and externally which by the way is not present, due to which enemy is also demonstrating its evil intentions. For this we need to develop seriousness. Ameerul Momineen (a.s) says that you should adopt seriousness which is not present in our community. Ameerul Momineen (a.s) supplicates to Allah in Dua e Kumail for seriousness. Seriousness means first to test and examine everything, and then decide whether you want to do this or not; then only our issues will get resolved. All the singers, players, dancers are coming on media to talk about current affairs and doing political talk shows. You don t see scholars sitting on media instead you see jugglers and our community likes jugglers. We like that Zakir who entertains, juggles, makes fun on the pulpit and we don t like serious speakers. The country at present needs seriousness and I am demanding this from community and youths. You are the architect of the nation and not the government. If the youth s selfhood gets aroused then he can change the situation and we should prepare ourselves against the plans of destruction made for us. 9
