1 TRIPURA UNIVERSITY (A Central University) Suryamaninagar General Information for Indian Applicants Seeking Admission in the Regular mode Academic Session Online applications portal is open for Indian applicants for admission in various academic programs of Tripura University for the academic session on the university website The online application portal shall remain open as mentioned below : For Regular Mode: from , 24:00 IST to :00 IST. There are two options available on the admission portal for an applicant visiting the website. For International applicants For Regular Mode applicants All relevant information for applicants under the Regular Mode is stated in the prospectus available on the website Applicants may download the prospectus from here. Applicants must read all the instructions carefully before registration and filling up the application form online. For registration, applicants may use an account. During registration, applicant will be asked to provide a valid id. Initial login password will be sent to the id/mobile, and in future all correspondence in this regard shall be made to this id/mobile. After registration, applicants are to obtain the password from the registered . It is recommended that they change their password on the first log in. After successful login applicants may fill their Admission Form. If an applicant does not have all required information at the time of filling the form, he/she can save the incomplete application as a draft (by clicking on 'Save as Draft' button) and log out. This draft can be recovered later by the applicant to complete the rest of the application form. Applicants are advised to save the data as draft after filling up information or after any modification in each page. Both International and Indian applicants may download the application form from the website of the university. A printed prospectus shall be sent to all Indian applicants through post at their present address of correspondence. However, the University shall not remain responsible for postal delay, loss or other irregularities. Number of Intake Capacity of each department is shown in the prospectus. However, the number of intake capacity of any department(s) may enhance at the last moment of admission procedure if Tripura University authority decide so. Requisite fees for submission of application form: Indian applicants: Rs (Prospectus Rs. 580/- + TUET Fees Rs. 200/- For SC/ST/OBC Students Rs.580/-) No mail or communication shall be made to Indian applicants. They are advised to regularly visit for further information and instructions, failing to comply with which, their applications may be treated as cancelled, for which Tripura University shall not be held liable. It is mandatory for applicants to appear for the Entrance Test as per schedule.

2 Applicants shall have to appear for the entrance test (at their own cost) at the Tripura University Centre, Suryamaninagar, Agartala, in the event of which, applicants shall be informed at least seven days prior to the entrance test. A fee once paid is not refundable / transferable. If any dispute arises regarding any matter of admission, the decision of the Tripura University shall be final. All litigation regarding admission shall lie within the jurisdiction of the High Court of Tripura. In case of any (i) failure in the online system, (ii) failure of payment through bank, or (iii) any other unforeseen circumstances leading to failure in submission of form etc. the Tripura University authority shall not be held responsible. PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF REQUISITE FEES FOR APPLICANTS IN THE REGULAR MODE: Payment for Indian Students: Students can visit Tripura University website and make their payment through HDFC Bank Payment Gateway by using net banking or Debit/Credit cards. Payment for International Students: Students can make payments through their banks via wire transfer. ENTRANCE TEST CENTRES - Tripura University, Suryamaninagar, Agartala Applicants may download their 'Acknowledgement-cum-Admit Cards for the Entrance Test from the university website after necessary verification. It is mandatory for applicants to bring the Acknowledgement cum Admit Card and any other appropriate photo identity proof, failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear for the entrance test. 6 DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION About the Department: The Department of Physical Education established in the year 2011 with an objective to produce good leaders in the field of Physical education and preparing teachers for senior secondary level as well as professor/directors/sports officers in colleges, teacher educators in Colleges of Physical Education and University Departments of Physical Education. Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) is 4(four) semesters Degree course. The Master Degree Course (M.P.Ed.) is NCTE approved. In M.P.Ed, main thrust area is to provide theoretical and critical understanding in professional and allied subjects. Here, aptitude for research is inculcated besides carrying out advanced studies in the realm of physical education. Students are also trained in a sport of their own choice both in practical and theoretical aspects of a sport under sports specialization. In order to make them a specialist for imparting advance coaching.
