2 NEW YEAR S PASTOR S BREAKFAST JANUARY 12 TH, 9 AM Start the New Year off right with a breakfast for pastors, retired pastors, and church staff ministers. The breakfast will take place at the PBA Resource Center, and will be free. Come learn about many exciting new opportunities for equipping and training coming in We are putting together a great schedule of events for both you and your people in the coming months. This will also be an opportunity for pastors to communicate back to the PBA staff how we can best serve them as a group. We would love to get back to a monthly gathering if that serves the needs of the pastors. This meeting is an experiment to see if a breakfast gathering would be a good format for the monthly meetings. Please R.S.V.P. to Linda at pba@peninsulabaptist.org to let us know if you plan to come. PASTOR S LEARNING COHORT Several pastors have indicated interest in learning how to use my book and workbook in their church. I will be offering a Coaching Cohort beginning in January for pastors interested in implementing these tools in their church. This cohort will continue for six months as each pastor shapes an action plan for bringing change within their congregation. I did a pilot project over in Portsmouth Baptist Association last year, and everyone who participated really felt it was both practical and effective. A FRONT PORCH CONVERSATION ABOUT JUSTICE Step Into The Journey Towards Justice Biblical Justice and Social Justice Starting January 14, 2017 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The sessions will take place every 2 nd and 4 th Saturday at the Peninsula Baptist Association Resource Center at 863 Cloverleaf Lane, Newport News, Va. for 3 months (6 sessions) it is free. We will be assisting each person attending to design specific projects and show how to resource them for their churches, neighborhoods, or communities so that you and the church become more relational as a neighbor. We can only accept the first thirty (30) folks to sign up. If there are more than 30, the Individuals will be put on the list for the next session. To Enroll contact the PBA Office at and speak to Linda or Charles by December 16 th, GET EQUIPPED EVENT! As most of you may or may not know, Melanie has tried to make it to meet with each of the churches that are a part of the PBA. Part of this process was listening to our churches about trainings, resourcing, and other ways the PBA could help each of our churches. Therefore, we are excited to take what we heard and provide a day of equipping for you all! In February we will be providing a day of training through breakout sessions. The breakout sessions have all come from one or more of our churches specific request. We are praying that this will be a valuable day for all types of people that are a part of our churches.
