Make simple links between promises in the story of and promises that Christians make at a wedding ceremony. Make links between the story of and how we live in school and the wider world. SOME PUPILS WILL BE ABLE TO: Make clear links between the story of Abraham and the concept of faith. Make simple links between People of and how some Christians choose to live in their whole lives and in their church communities. Suggest answers about how far ideas of covenant promises and following might make a difference in the world today. KNOWLEDGE BUILDING BLOCKS PUPILS WILL KNOW THAT: The Old Testament tells the story of a particular group of people, the children of Israel, known as the People of - and their relationship with. Table Contracts: separate piece of coloured paper each child writes down one thing that they could do to help their group or table and everyone signs the paper. Years4/5/6 Research symbols that could be seen in a wedding ceremony and label them. Year 3 Mrs Moody Display some symbols from wedding children write labels for them. Do you make mistakes? Why is it important to say sorry? In a partnership or marriage or wherever a contract or covenant has been made sometimes mistakes are made but its important to say sorry in order to be forgiven. Christians believe that in trusting when they make mistakes is able and has promised to forgive them because he loves them.
