4 November is National Adoption Month when we focus on the orphan. We will again be doing the Uganda Project, where we send support to the orphans of the Soroti School, in the form of basic supplies for them to take home on their Christmas break. This also gives an opportunity to witness to the family. More details to come. Please pray about what you can do for the orphans of the world! TODAY is Orphan Sunday! Our missionary, Ruth Anne Wegner will be presenting her ministry to children aging out of the foster care system during this evening s service. If you would like to greet Sam and Ruth Anne Wegner, join us after the evening service on in the Atrium for a special time of fellowship with light refreshments. Baptism Class For anyone interested in following the Lord in Believer s Baptism, there will be a class next Sunday morning, November 12 th at 9:30 in Room #214. If attending, fill out a pew card with your name, address and number, marked Baptism and place in the offering. Free Books! Sunday, Nov 5 & 12 CBC library will have tables set up in the church foyer full of free books. Please make sure to take a look! Surviving the Holidays Both Divorce Care and Grief Share will be holding special onetime sessions, designed to help people through the holiday season. Divorce Care will meet on Nov. 12 in Room #206 and Grief Share on Nov. 15 in Room #213. The time is 6:30 PM. Christmas Decorating We would love your help on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 6:15 PM in the sanctuary, to beautify the church for the holiday season. Join us! Call Gail Kollmar with any questions, Ministry Assistant Position CBC office is looking to hire an individual for full-time position with benefits. This individual handles areas of record keeping, IRS receipting, weekly bulletin, membership & database updates, daily phone and office requests, monthly newsletters, printed materials and varied ministry assistance. Must be organized, creative and efficient in MS Office, and have background skills with graphics. Deadline to submit your resume to lwatson@cbc-hanover.org is TODAY. Family Driven Faith One day parenting workshop, Saturday, January 13, 9 AM-4:30 PM at CBC. Child Evangelism Fellowship is looking for a volunteer to help assist with the Good News Clubs which occur every Tuesday 3:15-4:30pm at CBC, starting November 28 and continuing through the end of April. Must have or obtain childcare background clearances. Please see Lisa Watson if interested. Giving Envelopes If you are a regular attendee of CBC and wish to receive an IRS receipt at the end of the year for your giving, you must use the CBC giving envelopes. To start using them in 2018, please fill out a pew card with your name, address and phone number, state giving envelopes and place in the offering plate. If you have been using envelopes and will NOT need them next year, kindly let us know. If you currently use envelopes and wish to continue, you do not need to do anything; your number will continue to be assigned to you.
