3 2016 Hall of Fame Inductees By: Randy Simpson Each year, the inducts 3 individuals into the Pennsylvania Gospel Music Hall of Fame. This October will be no exception. Three more well deserving people will join the Hall of Fame Alumni. The first of those individuals, Tim Beitzel, has had many years of service in Gospel Music. Having performed with several groups, Brotherhood, The New Couriers and others, Tim also traveled several years as a soloist. Tim now pastors a church, and resides in Indiana, PA. The second individual to be inducted this year is Ken Rhodes. Ken not only sings with The Fellowship Quartet, but he also promotes gospel music concerts at his Campground, Friendship Village, located in Bedford, PA. Ken has a great personality and has made many friends over the years through ministry. The third and last individual being inducted this year is actually a husband and wife ministry team. Lee & Cindy Condron have been traveling and singing God s music for many, many years. They so deserve this award for their long dedication to their ministry, to each other, and to the Lord s work. They make their home in Annville, PA and are a wonderful addition to the Pennsylvania Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Be sure to read more about the upcoming Banquet below, which will take place Saturday, October 22, 2016, in Alum Bank, PA. 4 On The Narrow Road with Uncle Brian Rosenbaum Don't you hate that feeling? You've had a good night's sleep. You wake up relaxed and as peaceful as the child of GOD should be. That peace of GOD that passes all understanding has guarded your heart and your mind through Jesus Christ the LORD... then, TERROR! The ceiling that you are looking at isn't the wonderful bedroom ceiling of your homestead. At that moment, it doesn't matter if you are lying on an Army cot or at Martha Stewart's Bed and Breakfast (even if they DO have homemade SOAP!). The questions begin to fly into your mind. Where am I? What responsibilities do I have today? AND, what time is it? That Child of GOD's peace just flew out the window with the bluebird of happiness! Everyone has these days, however, it does prove a point. Peace is a state of SPIRIT, not of mind. Philippians 4:6 reminds us that God's Peace guards our HEART and our MIND through Jesus Christ the LORD. The questions that we have and the trials that we face are all under GOD'S own authority. If they weren't, He wouldn't be able to handle the cares that we need to cast upon HIM today. We can trust HIM to take us out of our problem OR take us THROUGH it. HALLELUJAH! HE will NEVER leave us in it! Be encouraged today as you press on toward the mark of GOD's HIGH CALLING! Brothers In Grace Brothers in Grace has ministered throughout the North/Mid-Atlantic region and Midwest, delighting audiences with their unique Southern Gospel Style. 5 Dave Powers Dave Powers is spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through songs and personal testimony. Dave was born and raised in West Chester, PA, and now resides in Lemasters, Pennsylvania. Dave has been singing for over 25+ years. He grew up singing in his home town church and fell in love with the old time hymns that the church sang. In his teen years, he heard many southern gospel singers and began to love the sound of the quartet style music. He attended a Gold City Quartet concert and knew during that concert he wanted to sing for the Lord. He prayed that the Lord would use him to spread the gospel in song someday when it was in God s timing. When he moved to Chambersburg, PA in 1988, he started singing bass with The Towne Singers. With the Towne Singers, he had the opportunity to travel overseas and do many concerts. Then in 2003, he began singing background with David King and the Royal Express, doing numerous Elvis concerts and had the honor to share the stage with the legendary Jordanairres. When the band dismembered, he continued with David, but they were led by the Lord to do outreaches to win souls for the Lord. Through prayer and support, Dave stepped out in faith and continued on his own in 2011 because he loves singing about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In 2015, Dave was asked and honored to share the stage with the respected southern gospel quartet, The Kingsmen, at the Rolling Acres Music Park. He also won the 2015 Keystone Award that was presented to him at the 40th PA State Singing Convention. Now he would love to come and sing at your church, outreach, revival, special program, senior center, or outdoor festival. Feel free to contact Dave via at cdpowers@embarqmail.com or call him at Have a blessed day in the Lord Jesus.
