3 Confession + Forgiveness *Call to Confession The proof of God s amazing love is this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us. Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Let us confess our sin before God, first silently and then together. *Prayer of Confession Almighty God, in raising Jesus from the grave, you shattered the power of sin and death. We confess that we remain bound by the ways that lead to death. We neglect the poor and the hungry and pass by those who mourn; we are deaf to the cries of the oppressed and indifferent to calls for peace. Identify one area of my life or in the world around me that is "bound by death" and commit to praying for Christ's resurrection power each day through Pentecost. Memorize Romans 6:4. Share with my household/friends where in my life I would like to "walk in newness of life" and decide what my first step in that walk will be. Commit to one act toward a household in my neighborhood that shares the good news of Jesus' resurrection. 7!
