1 SMALL GROUP FACILITATOR S NOTES WEEK ONE 1. Setting Prayer Center with Bible, Candle, simple blindfold for each person, handout 2. Welcome Take time to greet each person as they arrive, learn their names, help them become comfortable in the group 3. Describe the steps of the gathering - each week our group will pray and sing together consider a portion of the Gospel and what it means for us as missionary disciples talk with each other about how we encounter God in our lives choose some missionary action for the coming week Prayer for the V Encuentro (Song suggestion: Alma Misionera) Offer to each person one of the blindfolds Propose the missionary action(s) give time for everyone to decide on their plan explain that you will start next week with sharing about their missionary action. Closing Prayer (have everyone hold their blindfold) (prayer on handout maybe each person can speak one of the lines, or all together) Song suggestion: Cristo No Tiene Pies en el Mundo or Pescador de Hombres 6. Welcome Take time to greet each person as they arrive, recall their names, help them become comfortable in the group Prayer for the V Encuentro (Song idea: Pescador de Hombres o Como el Son en el Cielo) Offer to each person a glass of water (refer to how we quench each other s thirst) Propose the missionary action(s) give time for everyone to decide on their plan explain that you will start next week with sharing about their missionary action. Closing Prayer (prayer on handout) Song suggestion: Llamados al Encuentro

Welcome Take time to greet each person as they arrive, recall their names, ask them how they are doing (maybe refer to something they shared last week) Prayer for the V Encuentro (Song suggestion: Un Pueblo que Camina) Propose the missionary action(s) give time for everyone to decide on their plan this is where you mention the wristbands which they may wear and also offer to the person or family they meet explain that you will start next week with sharing about their missionary action. Closing Prayer (have a nice Bible ready for people to kiss as a way of showing their love for God s Word (prayer on handout and each person takes two or more wristbands) Song suggestion: Salgamos a Llavar el Evangelio

Welcome Take time to greet each person as they arrive, recall their names, ask them how they are doing (maybe refer to something they shared last week) Prayer for the V Encuentro (Song suggestion: Ardia Nuestro Corazone/Our Hearts Burned Within Us) Propose the missionary action(s) give time for everyone to decide on their plan explain that you will start next week with sharing about their missionary action. Closing Prayer (have everyone hold a lighted candle or pass one candle as each one speaks the prayer on handout) Song suggestion: Somos Discipulos Misioneros

5 SMALL GROUP FACILITATOR S NOTES WEEK FIVE 1. Setting Prayer Center with Bible, Candle, V Encuentro crosses, paper crosses and one large cross, handout 2. Welcome Take time to greet each person as they arrive, recall their names, ask them how they are doing (maybe mention something you really appreciate about their participation in the group, and invite them to bring friends for the Parish V Encuentro Day) Prayer for the V Encuentro (Song suggestion: Santa Maria del Camino) Propose the missionary action(s) this week it is mainly to go out and share their joy in being renewed in Christ, and also to invite friends and neighbors for the Parish V Encuentro Day hopefully you will have flyers to send home with everyone with the details of the day. Closing Prayer (prayer on handout at the leader s invitation, each person writes the signs of life and resurrection they have experienced in these five weeks, then tape each paper cross to the larger cross while you sing: Guiame, Senor o Porque Me Ha Ungido) Continue the prayer on the handout, ending with a blessing and sign of the cross offered to each other. Song: Nuestra Alegria

Bienvenida Tome tiempo para saludar a las personas que lleguen, aprenda sus nombres, ayúdelos a sentirse cómodos con el grupo 3. Describa los pasos de la reunión cada semana nuestro grupo Oren y canten juntos Considere leer una parte del evangelio y el significado que tiene para nosotros los discípulos misioneros Hablen unos con otros acerca de como encontramos a Dios en nuestras vidas Escoja una acción misionera para la semana entrante 4. Dirija la session: Oracion para V Encuentro (Sugerencia de Cancion: Alma Misionera) Lectura del Evangelio de Lucas (leerla en voz alta- de la biblia si es posible) Refleccion de la escritura Ofrescale a cada persona algo para vendarse los ojos Compartir en pares Pasaje del Papa Francisco (leer en silencio o en voz alta) Discusion dentro del grupo acerca de las preguntas Proponga las accion(es) misioneras dele tiempo a las personas para decidir su plan explique que comensara la proxima reunion compartiendo su accion misionera Oracion final (todas las personas deben sostener su venda) (la oracion talvez cada persona puede leer cada linea o leerla todos juntos Sugerencia de cancion: Cristo No Tiene Pies en el Mundo o Pescador de Hombres Invite al grupo: Dar el saludo de paz 5.
