3 Note From The Pastor On May 10, 2017 Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto has honoured our Office Administrator KAREN ANN VIEIRA for her dedicated service to our Parish for 25 years. I invite all parishioners, clergy and parish staff to join me in congratulating Karen. We have been blessed by her tireless work for our community. I pray that many abundant blessings of good health, hope and love accompany Karen and her husband Robert for many great years to come. Congratulations! We sincerely appreciate your service and thank you! May 21, 2017 Living the Gospel by caring for the elderly Words cannot convey our gratitude to Elizabeth and to the Society of Sharing for giving our mother a new meaning to her life. Before the friendly visit program started, our mother was very depressedd and unmotivated. However, her life changed when Elizabeth started to visit her. Elizabeth is a very kind, energetic and enthusiastic volunteer and her hobby is artwork. She decided to share her talent with our mother and has been giving her art lessons in acrylic painting. The intellectual stimulation has been tremendous and, as a result, has enhanced her health and her quality of life as she relaxes and focuses on her art projects. Thank you again, for all your support.. Last year ShareLife-supported agencies provided outreach programs that met the needs of over 2,200 seniors. Next ShareLife Sunday is June 4, 2017 Please give generously.

4 Rite of Christian Initiation for Children RCIA Baptism preparation for children 2-12 years old who were not baptized. Lessons began Sunday, May 14 during the 9:00 am Mass in the St. Michael Chapel at Guardian Angels Church with Baptism on Sunday, June 18 at 1:00 pm. Please register your child, if not baptized as Catholic. Application forms are available at the Church Office. Mass for the Neophytes On Sunday, May 28 at the 11:00 am Mass at St. Columbkille we will be hosting the Mass of the Neophytes. This Mass celebrates the candidates that were newly received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil this year. Please be sure to welcome them. We met our Cardinal Collins and our MP Bruce Stanton. We supported and celebrated the Sanctity of Life with thousands of caring people! On behalf of the Guardian Angels Church Pro-Life Committee, we would like to thank all the parishioners who came to our Fundraiser Dinner on April 22 and helped us to pay for the bus to Ottawa for the biggest Pro-Life Rally in Canada. Special thanks for donations received from the CWL and the KOC. A very special Thank-you to the Ladies and Gentlemen (to many to mention) who worked hard and made the delicious Dinner. We hope and pray our numbers and support for the Pro-Life movement will continue to grow! Sacred Heart Garden Party The Garden Party is coming-july 12. Our Patsy Robbins was central to all the fundraising activities and in the soliciting of prizes for the penny sale, silent auction and draws that take place at the Garden Party besides the dinner. We need help in soliciting for donations for these draws. Patsy did so much and knew so many people that we have a big spot to fill in getting these donations.
