Please pray that this year God might work through our congregation to bring music and learning opportunities to youth and adults. May God provide for us a Pastor who will help us share the good news of Christ, and may we keep open hearts and minds as we journey through the New Beginnings process.

4 Second United Presbyterian Church Wilkinsburg Enjoying God Together 300 Hay Street, Pittsburgh, PA The Rev. Deborah Kircher Warren Phone: Second U.P. is a small, but growing congregation of 94 members. We are a neighborhood church, involved in meeting the needs and broadening the interests of our community. Second U.P. s We Care Food Pantry helps to feed between 60 and 100 families per month. Our vegetable garden and fruit orchard cultivated by the congregation provide fresh fruit and vegetables to the food pantry. Second also offers a daily Parents Morning Out program for over 60 children from infants to seven years. In 2012, we opened our Preschool, which currently serves 21 children. The Rev. Sarah Heppenstall who worships at Second U.P. with her family describes the church this way: The courage and perseverance and love of our congregation is amazing; a tiny bit of yeast that is leavening the neighborhood. Please pray that we continue to grow in ways that are pleasing to God.

Chad Collins Phone: A united people, deeply rooted in God s word, worshipping in spirit and truth, that love and care for one another. We don t see ourselves as special or unique except in the eyes of God. We do however strive to encourage, lift up, understand, and support each other You can pray that as we prepare for our Pastor to leave us for a brief period for his renewal that we as a body also experience a renewal. Pray that the Lord bless his and our time away from each other. Pray also as we begin this Lenten Season that we individually and collectively take time each day to sit and have a little talk with Jesus.

6 Verona Presbyterian Church The Rev. Brian Diebold Verona 566 South Avenue, Verona, PA Phone: The Verona Presbyterian Church is a faithful, active, family sized congregation that takes joy in Jesus Christ. Probably what is most unique or special about the congregation is its focus on outreach despite our small size. We serve our community through a Christian nursery school; an after school ministry; a mid-week LOGOS program ; welcoming homeless families into our building as a part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network; a summer lunch program; and our famous Strawberry Festival held every June. Our mission is to grow disciples of Jesus Christ here in our neighborhood and to be a part of the greater Body of Christ worldwide. Over the past year and a half, we have begun a mission revitalization effort that has been leading us to form connections with a number of partner churches while we invest time and energy into growing as a church. This process has led us to rethink how we do worship, how we reach out to our neighbors, and how we grow as disciples. Work is being accomplished around our building, and a new energy is present among the members. While we face many challenges, we affirm that God has been working in our midst. God is good a the time, and a the time, God is good Please pray for us to build more connections with our neighbors and for us to have the courage to continue responding to the call of Jesus Christ, wherever he takes us. Please also pray for a spirit of unity and common purpose among our fellowship as we pursue our goals. Thank you
