1 CHOICES Written by Sandy Starr A Bible Study to Accompany The Spiritual Warfare Drama Lucifer s Lies

2 The members of Clearwater Baptist Church want to thank you for joining us as we attempt to unveil the spiritual warfare that exists in the human mind and affects the everyday life. The dramatic presentation of Lucifer s Lies allows us to put a face with those voices that we all too often hear in our head clamoring for our allegiance; we see firsthand the effects on individuals and families of listening to the wrong voice and falling for the deceptions of Lucifer himself. The Choices Bible study has been created as a tool for individuals, families or youth groups to utilize after experiencing the Lucifer s Lies drama. This study offers an opportunity for participants to dig into God s word and find that the depictions in the drama, though they may appear to some as a bit in your face, are indeed depictions of the Truth. You will find that the lessons are divided into five sections and should prove to be easily adaptable to certain group s needs. For instance, a leader might cover one section per meeting, or might choose to dwell in one section for several meetings. The study is designed for individual students to meditate and write responses; however, leaders may decide to use the questions and scripture readings in a large group setting. There are numerous thought provoking questions that should spark lively conversations and lead to some deep insights. Throughout the study, students are prompted to READ certain scriptures. Some of the verses are not printed in the study because it is our desire that participants dive into the Word for themselves and let the Holy Spirit speak through the pages. It is the author s opinion that many of us don t read the Bible anymore because we enjoy too many good Bible studies that provide a verse or two so we feel that suffices. Our prayer is that this Bible study might first encourage any participant who doesn t have a saving relationship with Jesus to make that a priority, and secondly to make every participant more aware of how susceptible we all are to Lucifer s lies. If you would like more copies of this study, please go to our church website and find a printable copy there. Feel free to make as many copies as you like and distribute them in ways that will positively impact God s kingdom. We are claiming the promise that God s word will not return void. Thank you for allowing us to contribute to your ministry. We would love to hear from you after you complete the study. Your feedback will be very helpful as we continue to enhance this study and begin new endeavors.

3 WHO IS THIS LUCIFER AND SO WHAT IF HE LIES? Everyone lies as a matter of fact it s kind of expected in this day and time that everything we hear or see has been exaggerated or twisted to some degree. So the question remains, what is so special about this person and his lies? The truth of the matter is that Lucifer is the force behind ALL the lies that are so prevalent in our society today. The answer to these two very important questions can be eye opening and life changing. It is our prayer that through this Bible study your eyes and heart will be open to just how detrimental Lucifer and his lies can be to individuals, families and ultimately nations. It is not our intent to scare anyone, but on the contrary, to expose these schemes and offer or remind you of an eternal adversary who has already defeated this nemesis and wants you to share in daily victories until He returns to take you home to an eternity with no more lies, pain, tears, sickness, or death. Session One Who is this Lucifer? The Power of Darkness, The Red Dragon, Wicked One, Evil Spirit, Serpent, Father of all lies, Satan and Devil are names that describe Lucifer. List other names used when speaking of this evil force. 12 How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! 13 You said in your heart, I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. [a] 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.

4 15 But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit. Isaiah 14:12-15 Who is this scripture referring to as the morning star and son of the dawn? (Add these to the list above) Notice Lucifer s statements all begin with I will. This selfishness is a sure sign of sinfulness! Underline the I will statements which were obviously his intentions. 1. He intended to occupy heaven, the home of God Himself. 2. He intended to elevate his throne above the stars of God. (This may refer to ruling over all the angelic creatures.) 3. The sacred mountain or north is referred to in heathen literature as the home of the gods (with a little g). So, another of his intents was to rule over the universe as the council of Babylonian gods supposedly did later. 4. He wanted the glory that belonged to God alone. His overall goal was to be like the Most High, and God would have none of that. What was God s reaction to Lucifer s ambitions in vs. 15? 18 He replied, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Luke 10:18 (from the lips of Jesus) Lucifer was created as a beautiful angel existing to honor and praise God in the heavens. He began to compare himself with God thinking he deserved to be worshiped, so God cast him out of heaven. Ever since then, Lucifer s desire has been to kill and destroy everything and everybody that God cherishes. What is so special about LUCIFER S LIES? Every one of Lucifer s lies has an evil and eternal motive - he desires to steal your mind and control your attitudes and actions. Ultimately his lies are so dangerous that falling for them can lead to losing everything important in this life as well as your eternal life. Lucifer is first seen telling his lies in the Garden of Eden. Write what you know about this detrimental event. Read Genesis 2:15 3:7

5 Since the beginning right up until today, God has loved mankind (that s you and me) so much that He wants us to freely choose to love and follow Him. But because he wants to retaliate against God for his banishment from heaven, Lucifer has been hard at work taking advantage of the gift of free will. He knows that twisting the truth and feeding lies into human minds will appeal to the sinful nature. His hope is that we will choose his evil ways instead of the blessed ways of God. Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden? When Adam and Eve chose to listen to Lucifer s Lies instead of God s instruction, sin entered the world. Through the bad CHOICE of Adam and Eve, the perfect relationship between God and man was broken. Because of this first sinful choice, each of us (whether we realize it or not) is now engaged in spiritual warfare daily. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:11-12 In the following verses, Ephesians 6:13-17, we are told what those six pieces of armor are. Only those who have a personal relationship with Jesus have access to the Armor of God discussed in these verses. The rest of the world doesn t have the Holy Spirit guiding and giving encouragement and is totally susceptible to Lucifer s lies and schemes. They often find themselves trapped by the situations listed below. Discouragement Disappointment Fear of the future Broken relationships Lack of respect Feeling unloved Need to escape reality Lack of communication Guilt Loneliness Hopelessness Selfishness Unrealistic expectations Anxiety or lack of peace Lack of satisfaction Busyness Drugs/Alcohol/Sex These are only a few of the methods Lucifer uses to wage war. What does spiritual warfare look like in your life? This entire list goes totally against the loving words of the God who created us and they rob a person of the peace, joy and purpose God created each of us to enjoy. Even though it was God s desire from the beginning that we live in peace with each other and walk in close relationship with Him 24/7, sadly, many times even Christians find themselves listening and falling for the tempting, life altering lies of Lucifer. How does one put on the full armor of God every day?

6 Notes:

7 SESSION TWO Choices People have been making CHOICES since the beginning of time. We make choices all day long. From the time we open our eyes in the morning until we lay down to sleep at night we are constantly making choices. Here are a few examples. Will I be kind this morning or am I going to be hateful to the people I live with and claim, I m just not a morning person!? Will I wear clothes today that draw attention to myself, or will I choose to wear clothes that demonstrate honor and respect to myself, my family and my God? Will I work to the best of my ability at every task today or will I just do enough to get by? List some decisions that you have already made today. Were they good CHOICES or bad ones? How do you decide if you are making good or bad decisions? Who guides your decision making? Unfortunately, many people have not thought about that question. So many of us have never taken the time to consider that very important question, therefore we are swayed easily by what is popular or what everyone else is doing. This is a very dangerous way to live both in terms of this life and the life to come. EVERY DECISION we make has benefits or consequences. Go back and look at the basic list of decisions discussed above and think about the various benefits and consequences of good and bad decisions. What do you and your friends do to have fun?

8 What types of things might people your age be tempted to do that they know aren t quite right? Why do you think these temptations occur? Could it be that some people are listening to the tempting suggestions of Lucifer himself without even realizing it? Do you think children aspire to become alcoholics, drug/porn addicts or face unmarried pregnancy? Why or why not? Most children and teens have dreams of accomplishing great things and growing up to be policemen, doctors, artists, professional athletes, veterinarians, teachers, cosmetologists or such. No matter your age now, what do you see yourself doing ten years from now with the life God has given you? God warns us that whatever it is we feel He is leading us to do with our life, Lucifer is working hard to lead us in the opposite direction and make sure we never become all we were created to be. READ the words of Jesus in John 10:10 and write or restate it in your own words. If you have not already been tempted with things such as drinking, drugs, and sex you will be! These are some of Lucifer s favorite schemes to distract, destroy relationships and weigh people down with worry and guilt. He tries to persuade us that drinking and drugs are harmless and that it s only for fun, or that they will make you feel better. Ladies, he attempts to convince you that the guy who is pressuring you to have sex really loves you and that you will be all alone if you don t give in and give him what he wants. Guys, he tells you that everyone is doing it and if you want to be a real man you will have sex so you can brag about it to all your buddies. At the same time God tells us that real love puts the other person first and casts out all fear. Sex and love are not the same thing! God is love and He wrote a lot about love in His Word. I Corinthians 13 is known as the Love Chapter. This very in-depth description of love should be applied to every relationship we experience. READ I Corinthians 13 and meditate on the qualities of true love. From these verses, list three aspects of Godly love that stand out to you.

9 Which of the qualities of true love do you find most difficult to demonstrate? Why do you think that is? The first part of I John 4:18 says: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear How would you explain this verse to someone? In what contexts do you hear people use the word love every day? Would you agree that the word love is misused in our society today? Why is it extremely important that the word love not be used in a manipulative way to take advantage of another person? Listening to Lucifer s voice not only has eternal consequences but can make a terrible mess of your life here on earth! List the benefits and consequences of choosing the following things: Drinking Alcohol Benefits Consequences Using Drugs Having Sex Outside of Marriage What are some excuses people use to get involved in one or more of these activities?

10 Lucifer wins when young people use their age as an excuse. He tries to convince teens that everyone is doing it so it must be OK. He tells them that they have plenty of time to get their lives straightened out that people who aren t making these same choices are boring and never have any fun. What is the Holy Spirit telling you about these topics? There has never been a temptation offered to you that Jesus doesn t provide a way out. Memorize I Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. So again, the question is Who guides your decision making? NOTES:

11 SESSION THREE (This may be a touchy subject, so be careful not to be defensive. Open your mind to what the Holy Spirit may be advising concerning you and your technology.) Does Technology Affect Me and My Family? Think about it. Does your family take time each day to talk about what s going on in each of your lives? Are you really listening to each other, or is there always some type of noise cluttering the real communication? It appears in most families the TV is always on. There is this constant distraction of color and sound blocking one s ability to totally focus on any conversation. In addition to TV noise, many teens and adults are attached to their phones or computers 24/7. Lucifer loves to create barriers to block communication in the family and steal time so that families don t bond. Remember, he is a thief that seeks to steal and destroy. Through media, Lucifer may tell you that others in your life have no idea what s going on in your world. Maybe they don t, but they want to know because they love you and care about your safety and your future. Don t shut out the people who want to love, support and encourage you. Share the good, the bad and the ugly. Ask for their advice! You might just find that they are not so far removed from what you are going through, and they may have even experienced similar things. The family was one of the first institutions God created. The husband, wife, children, grandchildren bond is very important to God. Whoever you may live with, that s your present family. Your family needs you to play an active part in what goes on in your home. You are a very important part of making things run smoothly for everyone. Lucifer wants to control your thoughts and actions, but you have a CHOICE. Your attitudes and actions can mean the difference between a peaceful or stressful home environment. Make an effort (choose) to have a loving, positive and helpful attitude. Happily do your share of yard or housework and see how much bearing that has on the atmosphere of your home. Ephesians 6:1-4 has a word for children and fathers. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Fathers do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. How do you interpret the word honor? What does it mean to exasperate someone? Could your family sit down and discuss the meaning of these verses together? Why or why not?

12 How could these verses make a difference in your family if they were openly discussed? Unfortunately, too many of us are so focused on people and things out in cyberspace that we miss out on the purpose and beautiful connections God made for us to experience at home. Often, we are annoyed by the needs of real people in our lives because they distract us from our TV shows or time on our devices. Be honest when answering the following questions. List the technology devices you use daily. How much time do you spend using technology daily? (This includes the TV) Have you ever been using the internet and more time passed than you realized? Time is a precious gift from God that we can never get back. Technology often robs us of time that could be used for things that have real value. How does your use and/or another family member s use of technology affect your relationships in your family? In what ways can technology rob you of time and communication with real people and the real Holy Spirit? Why do people feel they need to have their phone close by at all times? What are most people you know doing on the computer or phone? Do you know people who have seen things or been a part of conversations on the internet that they would be embarrassed for family members to know about? One online dictionary defines addictive as causing a strong need to regularly have or do something. Is it possible that some websites or social media sites are addictive? If so, how is that possible? Pornography is defined as sexually explicit videos, photographs, writings, or the like, whose purpose is to elicit sexual arousal. Sexting using SnapChat and other apps is a form of pornography. Think about it! What is the purpose of sending someone a partially nude or nude picture? Why would someone send a Snap of body parts, especially those that are hidden in public?

13 Unfortunately, one can innocently stumble into websites with sexual content. Once this happens, advertisements begin to pop up with more sexually explicit pictures and words. The sinful human nature causes one to become curious, and when one listens to Lucifer s lies, excuses for watching a little longer and searching for more come easily. Nobody will ever know; I m not hurting anyone; I deserve a little pleasure; Everybody does it are all lies straight from Hell. Lucifer knows that Pornography destroys a person s healthy desire for sex God s way (one husband with one wife for life). What would you say to someone who might be experimenting with pornography? Have you ever said things in a text, message, or post that you would not have said in person? What do you think makes people do things online that they would never do in person? Do you think people ever post pictures online hoping that others will see them and make positive comments? Do you think people ever post comments online in hopes that someone will comfort them? Why might someone do that? Agree or Disagree Many people get their self-worth from connections they have made via the internet. Who or what makes you feel good about yourself? Does your self-worth come from the fact that you know you were created in the image of God with a purpose and a plan that no one else in this world can fulfill? God loves you so much that He gave His only son, Jesus, to bring you into a right relationship with Him. He sent the Holy Spirit to live inside you so that you are never alone and never be forced to face Lucifer s lies on your own; He sent the Bible to direct you and remind you of your uniqueness and importance. You were created in God s image with a purpose and a plan. Read each of these verses and then write your own thoughts or feelings about them. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

14 Luke 12:7 Indeed the very hairs of your head ae all numbered. Don t be afraid; Knowing these verses, why would anyone choose to get their self-worth from acquaintances and the media? Could it be that technology, this wonderful tool that puts a wealth of information at our fingertips in an instant and brings friends around the world together, is one of Lucifer s deceptions? Write in your own words your thoughts about that question. Does Lucifer want to turn something that was invented or created for good into something that steals, kills and destroys? You better believe he wants to and he can if we allow it! That is his expertise. The sad part is that he is so subtle and enticing that we find ourselves making excuses to justify our behavior even when we hear the Holy Spirit calling us to a better choice. Think again about the time you spend using technology and the way it affects your attitude toward yourself and others. List two things you can do differently in terms of your technology use to better honor God. Every CHOICE we make today impacts our tomorrows. NOTES:

15 SESSION FOUR But I am a good person. This world is full of good people people who go to church, people who do good things for others, people who never drink, cuss, do drugs, or have sex outside marriage. One of Lucifer s lies is that being good should be enough to get a person into heaven. This lie, again, is in stark contrast to the word of God! Why is just being a nice person not going to get someone into heaven? John 14:6 Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. Why might this be one of the most important verses in the Bible? Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Re-write these verses in your own words. With so many religions in this world, how can you know Christianity is true? The world calls Christians narrow minded and says tolerance is the way to go. How would you define the word tolerance? Webster s dictionary defines tolerance as: sympathy or indulgence for beliefs or practices differing from or conflicting with one's own. Is there a place for tolerance in the life of a Christian?

16 Be careful of the twists Lucifer uses when it comes to this word. The bottom line is that morality without Jesus won t get a person into heaven. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Him. Lucifer wants people to believe all roads lead to heaven. Do not be confused or deceived about this subject. Lucifer Lies! God is not the author of confusion. God loves you, the Holy Spirit wants to lead you and the Bible directs you. It is God s desire that all people would accept Him as their Lord and Savior. John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God s one and only Son. Accepting Jesus takes faith, and faith is hard to explain. Someone once said that faith is like the wind blowing on your face. You feel it and you know it s there, but you can t see it. Webster s dictionary defines faith as something that is believed especially with strong conviction. Jesus had a lot to say about faith in the New Testament, and a few of the verses are listed below. Take time to read and write your thoughts about each passage. Matthew 9:28 & 29 Matthew 21:21 Luke 17:6 John 14:12 Acts 3:16 Hebrews 11 (known as the Hall of Faith )

17 No doubt, when a person puts their faith in Jesus, everyday becomes an adventure. Take the time to research other verses in the Bible about faith. Christians can and should share information about Christ as well as their own faith story. Christians should attempt to live a Christ-like life and sometimes even plead with others to accept Him for themselves. It is however, only when a person stops listening to Lucifer s lies and gives in to the conviction of the Holy Spirit in faith that he/she will truly experience life changing salvation. A fact that cannot be ignored is a person must accept that Jesus is real for his/her self. Someone s parents, grandparents, preacher or friend cannot carry them to heaven. Galatians 2:16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So, we too have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified. How would you explain this verse to someone so they could understand it? Accepting Jesus as your Savior requires faith and it is an individual choice the most important CHOICE one will ever make. NOTES:

18 SESSION FIVE Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior? You must step out in faith and accept Christ or you won t make it through this world of traps and ditches without many wounds and scars. One of the many benefits of having a saving relationship with Jesus is the active presence of the Holy Spirit that lives within the lives of believers. The Holy Spirit is the whisper in your conscious that guides the Christian to make good decisions and convicts our hearts when we sin. Listening to the right voices can save you from many heart aches and dangers here on earth and in the long run save you from an eternity separated from God. Make a good choice today Choose Christ - There are no second chances in eternity. Revelation 21:27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb s book of life. If you have already asked Jesus to be your Savior, what could you do or say to convince someone that Jesus is real? If you are struggling with that question, think about this: How much time do you set aside every day to be still and reflect on the truths of God s word - Who He is, What He has done and is doing on your behalf? Where is your special quiet-time place? God says for us to be still and know that He is God. Lucifer tries to keep us busy so that we can t be still and hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. Psalm 46:10 He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Does this sound like a suggestion, good advice or a command? Lucifer wants us to believe that the Bible is a big thick boring book. This is such a lie! The Bible is alive, and it contains words spoken from God s heart to ours. It has the power for life and death. It is sharper than a two-edged sword. From the beginning to the end it tells of God s desire for a loving relationship with each of us. The Bible is not a story book it is still relevant today! Reading and hiding God s word in our heart is one way to make sure we are listening to the right voice and not being seduced by Lucifer s lies.

19 Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Take time to write what you would share about Jesus with someone who knows nothing about Him? Have you ever shared Jesus with another person? Why or why not? If you have, how did it go? What might you do differently this time you share? There are three types of people in this world. See which one you identify most with. First there are people that are so busy and caught up in their own thoughts and activities that they walk right past a person needing Jesus and don t even notice. Second is the person who notices but thinks that someone else should do something for that person or about that problem. Then there is the third type person who sees the need, stops what they are doing, and meets the need. That is the person who truly acts like Jesus. This third person is the person to whom Jesus in Heaven will say well done good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:21 His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master s happiness!

20 Each of the three people mentioned make choices that determine their actions. Who is influencing each of these decisions and ultimately determining their actions? How sad is it that Christians get so distracted by Lucifer s lies and the scheme of busyness that we pass by people who need Jesus while making excuses that what we are doing is more important. There is a world around us with no clue about the good news of Jesus because they have fallen for Lucifer s distractions, deceits and lies. Many hear about Jesus at Christmas or Easter but have no true concept of His love for them or their need for Him. Many have become so tuned in to Lucifer s lies that they are bound in heavy chains of fear, worry, guilt or addiction. Lucifer wants to convince them that there is no way God could love them because of what they have done. Even though they may try, they cannot remove these strongholds by themselves. Only Jesus can set a person free! They need to know that there is nothing they can do to make Him love them any more nothing they have done to make Him love them any less He just loves them! Grace was made for lives like this. There are no strangers, no outcasts, and no orphans of God! Romans 6:22-23 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in [a] Christ Jesus our Lord. What is the gift one receives when set free from sin? How do you think people would be affected with the gospel of Jesus if someone came back from Hell and shared? If you heard a testimony from Hell, how might it affect your concern about the lost people you know or change how you live every day? This is a serious question because - Time is not guaranteed for anyone. Every choice we make could be the last one. Life as we know it can end in an instant. Whether by accident, choice, or Jesus return, we will all come face to face with Jesus and it will happen as quickly as you blink an eye. I Thessalonians 5:2-6 For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, Peace and safety, destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

21 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. Write this passage in your own words. Romans 2:16 This will take place on the day when God judges people s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares. What types of attitudes, choices or actions can be hidden from God? Pray for the eyes of the lost to be open and for hearts to be softened. When you pray for others, it is called intercessory prayer. Praying for others provides a measure of protection for them. Intercessory prayer helps open the passage for them to hear God s voice and not just the noise and confusion of Lucifer and his demons. I Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Lucifer knows he has already been defeated, so he frantically roams like a lion seeking to devour and destroy. It is not God s desire that anyone should perish, but Holy God cannot overlook and mingle with sin. God wants an honest personal relationship with every individual that lasts on into eternity, so He provided the ultimate sacrifice for our sin in the blood of His son Jesus shed on the cross. Lucifer knows that the name of Jesus brings Power that deems him powerless! So, when you feel confused or overcome with doubt and fear, speak the name of JESUS and claim the truth of the Gospel. Be bold! Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and make decisions that honor God. Care enough about others to tell them the truth. Even the most loveless people need boundaries, guidance and Godly influences. Remember if you have Jesus in your heart greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world! READ and memorize I John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. Lucifer may have powers and schemes, but he cannot control your attitudes, thoughts or actions unless you allow it!

22 Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. From the moment you get up in the morning until you lay down to bed at night, Think of some ways you can CHOOSE to be more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus! As you complete this study, contemplate and accept the challenge set before us in I Peter 1: Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: Be holy, because I am holy. NOTES:
