2 Dear Children, Do you like change? Do you like it when your mom or dad change the furniture in your room or move it around into different spots? Do you like the change in seasons? If you could move into a new house, would you like that? Well, some people like change, and some people do not. Lots of people do not want things to change, but they do want things to get better. Christians change. We become more and more like Jesus and less and less like the world. This process of becoming more like Jesus starts when you become a Christian, and it doesn t end until you die. And while this is a work of God in your life, you play a part too: reading His Word; praying; being in church; listening to your Sunday School teacher; praying with your mom and dad. I pray for you right now that you (and I) will look more and more like Jesus, act like Jesus, think like Jesus and when people see us, they will see joy in our faces because we look like Jesus. What is a sacrifice? Can you describe in your own words what an animal sacrifice might look like in the Old Testament? But also, what are sacrifices we make every day? Now, with all that in mind, and keeping in mind Mr. Mac s sermon, what is a living sacrifice? And, why is that worship of God? 2. Pray together the prayer (or Head of Home read it out loud) provided in the sermon outline at the close of Mr. Mac s sermon. 3. Do you like change? Why or why not? How do we as Christians change in our life time? 4. What does it look like when WE look like the world? Read Romans 12:2. Now describe what it looks like when we look like Jesus. 5. In what ways have you seen the mercy of God in your life?

4 A Guide to Family Worship May 21-27, 2018 THE SIMPLEST OUTLINE FOR FAMILY TIME EVER!!! 10 EASY STEPS #1 Just make sure you gather once a day as a family. #2 Try really hard to make the same time every day. #3 It does not have to be long; it does not have to be perfect. #4 Read a Bible verse. Maybe a devotional. #5 Sing a song or two together. #6 Take prayer requests. #7 Pray. (Daddy, your children NEED to hear you pray.) Pray for the children; pray for missionaries; pray for Trinity Church; give thanks. #8 Everyone tell one thing they are thankful for. #9 Have a Leader of the Day: they get to read and/or pray and/ or tell everyone to come gather and/or put out the Bibles/ hymnals and/or tell something that happened to them that day. #10 Dad, pray this over your children: Numbers 6:24 26 The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

6 And He said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Mark 16:15 Meet Caroline Serving with a Campus Ministry in Asia Where Do Our Missionaries Live and Work? Caroline was raised in Montgomery and attended Trinity Church throughout her childhood. When she was in college, she became interested in telling other college students about Jesus. She went to another country during one of her college summer vacations to do that. After graduating from college, she spent two years in an Asian country learning their language and helping college students learn about Jesus. She was back in the United States for a year, but has returned to Asia again to share the gospel of Jesus with college students. While you are not in college or another country yet, there are people from other countries who come to Montgomery. Some of them may be in your school or live on your street, or play on your soccer or baseball team. You can do many of the same things Caroline does to help those people learn about Jesus by being their friend, playing games and sports with them and explaining how we worship God. Many people in other countries cannot do that because their laws prohibit them from reading the Bible and there is no one to tell them about Him.

7 #2 O Worship the King What does it mean to worship? Have you ever really thought about it? In church we sing as a form of praise and worship, but there are other forms of worship too. One dictionary defines worshiping someone as to show reverence and admiration for. How can we show God reverence and admiration? Well, we can thank Him for what He has done for us, we can tell Him how wonderful He is, we can share Him with others. To have reverence for someone means to respect them. When we respect someone we listen to them. When we admire someone we tell them and we often tell other people. So, this should be the same and even more with our King, Jesus Christ! #254 Alas! And Did My Savior Bleed Jesus died for us even though He knew we were sinners. He died for us before any of us were ever even born! This is amazing! Verse 2 says Was it for crimes that I had done He groaned upon the tree! Amazing pity! Grace unknown! And love beyond degree! This is a love and a grace that most of us cannot even imagine. God loves us so much more than we will ever know. There is no way for us to repay such a wonderful thing, but we can show God we love Him by Obeying His Word and loving others! All you have made will praise You, O Lord; Your saints will extol You. Psalm 145:10
