Contact Margaret at CORNERSTONE NYAKA FILM TUESDAY The Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project documentary Cornerstone will be screened at 7 p.m. on Apr. 25 at Faith Lutheran Church, 4515 Dobie Rd. in Okemos. The film profiles Twesigye Jackson Kaguri, who recently spoke at The Peoples Church during our worship service on April 9, and his successful efforts to combat the devastating effects of AIDS in western Uganda. The Peoples Church has maintained a long-time mission partnership with Nyaka. PHOEBE CIRCLE WEDNESDAY The Phoebe Circle of the Women of Peoples Church will gather at 9:30 a.m. on Apr. 26 with Barbara Scott, coordinator of our Edgewood Village Partnership. Questions? We will gather in the Robertson Room for an informal discussion. Peoples 101 takes place the first Sunday of the month. VBS NEEDS YOUR EMPTY CONTAINERS Hero Central is looking for clean plastic containers of all shapes and sizes, from gallon milk jugs on down for our Craft Headquarters. If you have some items to share, drop them off at the church office. Children who have completed Kindergarten through the fifth grade can register for our 2017 VBS program June at Woldumar Nature Center. Cost for the week is $25 (pre- and post-camp care is available).
