To understand the origins of the Vision in the Word and Promises of God What Is Vision? Biblical Reference For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters covers the sea (Habakkuk 2:14) INTRODUCTION Vision is the idea of God revealed to the mind of man so that he can carry it out. Everything that exists originated from a vision that God had of Creation. He has put the same capability to have vision in each person, and He expects us to fight to achieve our dreams by using our creative ideas. Vision is the motor that has propelled prominent leaders to shape the destiny of whole nations, overcoming all kinds of adversities. The concept of vision has been around since the beginning of creation as it was God's idea that inspired the realisation of all things, including His masterpiece - mankind. Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness (Genesis 1:26). MODULE 2 LESSON 1 1. GOD WANTS TO COUNT ON US I am fully assured that God wants to use believers in these end times as burning torches, to carry His fire to different places in the world. To achieve this, it is necessary to raise an army of courageous people, willing to pay a high price to see the Kingdom of God established promptly on the earth. If each one of us commits to this Vision, we will be able to see His Kingdom established much sooner than we expect. Jesus formed His own brave army, capable of bearing spiritual weapons. He started by raising up twelve men, passionate for the things of God twelve men of prayer, full of Jesus presence, who testified: We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14) 2. IT IS TIME FOR WORLDWIDE REVIVAL Although two thousand years have passed since Jesus started forming His army, the Church has only ever grown sporadically. There have been outbreaks of spiritual awakening in certain areas, regions, and nations, but we have never seen a worldwide revival since the times of the apostles. Why not? Perhaps you already know the answer; the problem is the spirit of individualism. Despite this, the Lord Jesus managed to set a precedent for working in a team. The problem of individualism was already understood in the days of Habakkuk, who asked why God had made people like the fish in the sea, like the sea creatures that have no ruler. (Habakkuk 1:14).

2 The prophet was worried because there was no vision of government; everyone looked out for their own good, clouding the vision of God in their lives. He later added: I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer l am to give to this complaint (Habakkuk 2:1). He had determined to persevere until he received an answer from the Lord. "Then the Lord answered me and said, "Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay (Habakkuk 2:2-3 NASB). God confirmed to the prophet that a vision or government would come and following that would come the greatest worldwide revival. For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14). 3. JESUS WAS THE REDEMPTIVE DREAM OF GOD FOR THE WORLD The Lord Jesus was passionate about His vision: to redeem humanity from certain eternal condemnation.! He is God. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).! He is the Word of God who became man. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father full of grace and truth (John 1:14).! He is the offering of God for redemption. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then l said, Here l am it is written about me in the scroll - l have come to do your will, 0 God (Hebrews 10:5-7)! He is the manifestation of the fullness of divine grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ (John 1:17).! Only through Him can we know the heavenly Father. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known (John 1:18).! He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of me world (John 1:29). There has never been, nor will there ever be, any hope for mankind apart from Him. Jesus set out to save us, paying a high price by shedding His blood on the Cross of Calvary. It is our responsibility to take His vision and reproduce it in others, sharing His message of salvation. "Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter (Proverbs 24:11) 4. THE VISION ORIGINATES FROM THE WORD Everything begins with the revelation of His Word: In the beginning was the Word (John 1:1a). And God said, Let there be light, and there was light (Genesis 1:3).! Noah built the ark because God told him to (Genesis 6:13-14).! Abraham left his land because God told him to, and he became a channel of blessing for the families of the earth (Genesis 12:1-3).! Moses delivered the people of Israel because God told him to So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt (Exodus 3:10).! Zechariah was temporarily mute because he doubted the words of the angel(luke1:19-20).

Mary was called blessed; she gained God s favour when she believed the angel s words, and she was the instrument that the Lord used to make His own dream become flesh in the person of Jesus (Luke 1:30-35).! The Holy Spirit had revealed to Simeon that he would not die before he had seen the Messiah (Luke 2:29-32).! Two of John the Baptist s disciples were impacted by their leader s words who, upon seeing Jesus passing by, exclaimed, Look, the Lamb of God! Andrew and John took this as the revelation that Jesus was the Messiah and decided to follow Him (John 1:35-39). 5. THE POWER OF THE PROMISE A promise from God in His Word is like a signed cheque from Him. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires (2 Peter 1:4) In 1990, I asked the Lord for direction regarding how to carry out the ministry. In response, He opened my understanding; what He revealed to me not only revolutionised our lives and the lives of our disciples, but also gave direction to our ministry. God asked me, How many people did Jesus disciple?" In my mind I started to recall the moments when He was surrounded by the multitudes. I started to understand that one day He was with one group, and the next day with another, but that He maintained constant contact with His team of twelve. God's voice spoke to my heart, saying, ' If you disciple twelve people, and if each one of them in turn does the same with another twelve who will later do the same with another twelve, the growth will be exponential." That day, the scales fell from my eyes and I was able to see the great growth that the Lord wanted to give me. Thus was born what is now known as G12. G stands for Government, and the number 12 also signifies Government. Although Jesus could have invested His life in the multitudes, He preferred to work on forming the characters of twelve very different people. Just like the potter who works with the clay, He formed the character of each one of them for three and a half years, until they could say like Job, Your hands shaped me and made me. Before ascending into heaven, the Lord met with his disciples and saw that something was missing if the work in them was to be complete. lt was the divine breath. They had to carry out the work of evangelists in the different nations of the world, and so Jesus told them. "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you. And with that he breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit (John 20:21-22). How did Jesus manage to change twelve people into pillars of Christianity, though they were neither cultured nor educated, and had neither riches nor social standing? The answer is simple: These individuals were willing to allow themselves to be moulded by Him. CONCLUSION Vision involves having a clear image of what God wants us to do. He reveals to us the purpose He was for our lives. Only through faith can we enter the spiritual realm, to see what the Lord has pre-established for each one of us; we must then bring this vision into the natural realm, which can only be achieved with the help of the Holy Spirit.
