Goats can thrive in extreme climates and on poor, dry land by eating grass and leaves. The gift of a dairy goat can supply a family with up to several quarts of nutritious milk a day - a ton of milk a year. Extra milk can be sold or used to make cheese, butter or yogurt. Families learn to use goat manure to fertilize gardens. Goats often have two or three kids a year, making it easy to keep our pennies going. Some of our pennies will purchase land on which to raise them. A community plot of land will allow a village to share the goats and their benefits. Our goal 6 goats= $720.00, Plot of land to raise 6 goats $ Our Teen Leader Training will be held on Sunday, August 4, at 11:15 A.M. in the Library Volunteer Training for both Vacation Bible Schools will be held on Sunday, August 4, in the Youth Room immediately following the last service. 2 What is GRACE SWAP? No matter where you have been in the past, we are glad you chose to make Grace part of your Sunday morning. We encourage you to take your time as you read through this newsletter and take in all that is being offered. Together we are raising up generations of families that are built to last! See what is best for you and those you love. If you have any questions, give us a call at , visit our website at or visit the Information Center after your time of worship. It is a place for people to connect the things that they have (you know, the stuff you no longer use, the stuff in your attic, or drawer, or garage) with people who need them. At the Café you will find cards to fill out describing the item that you would like to GIVE away (All must be free). It will be posted on the bulletin board for others to see and write down your information. NO items will actually be accepted here at Grace. Once the item is gone, you simply remove your card and praise God for the chance to serve someone else's need. Pray specifically for others at Grace. Grace Church has close to a hundred people praying for the needs of others that come in almost daily. If you are a person of prayer and a believer in Jesus Christ, we need you on our Prayer Team. If you are interested in finding out more, send an to Mary Ann at maryann@grace4families.com. If you like to work behind the scenes and help another person in need, join the Care-Net team. If you are in need of prayer, let Mary Ann know, and she will publish your request to the team. What do we do? We help others with the practical things of life: moving, packing, cleaning, making a meal, yard work, etc... How do we do it? Periodically, requests for assistance are sent out to members of the team via . You read the , see if you have the talent and can make the time, and we get you connected! It can be that easy. On the third Saturday of each month, our friends 68 and older enjoy lunch and great Christian fellowship. This lunch is designed for both men and women who are hungry for the Bible and good Christian friends. This month they meet on AUGUST 17 from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., in the Grace Café (Netcong Campus). Come for the fun! Who do we help? The requests shared are from people who are regular attendees at Grace (Your brothers and sisters from your church body). How to get involved? If you are interested in serving with this group, please contact Pastor Cameron Baker at cameron@grace4families.com he will be happy to add you to our growing list of helpers. 4 A child falls and breaks his wrist on the playground. A senior falls and is in extreme pain. There is a bear on the property during VBS! Someone begins to have severe chest pains during the service on Sunday morning. The fire alarm goes off during the service. The above events are all real events that have occurred at our Netcong campus. We have a First Responder team in place who is willing to step forward in the event of emergencies such as these. If you are a trained and qualified person, such as a police officer, EMT, nurse, fireman or doctor and would like to join this team, we would love to have you. As a First Responder, you are simply giving us permission to call on you in an emergency situation. There will be a training session on Saturday, October 5, from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., where we will go over policies and procedures in the event of an emergency here at Grace. If you would like to be a part of this team, please contact Tim at tim@grace4families.com or ext. 17. At Grace Church we value the act of membership. We strongly believe if you have decided to make Grace your church home, we would invite you to follow through with the act of becoming a member. There is a three-part class that is designed to walk you through that process. The classes will cover what we believe, what membership means and how God has created you for service. We will be starting the next Partnership class on Sunday, September 8, 15 and 22 at 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. in Room 204 of the Netcong Campus. Please sign up at the Information Center if you would like to attend this class. If you have questions, contact Tim Leonard at tim@grace4families.com. Mark your calendars for Harvest Fest 13! We are going to have a great day of food, fun, and fellowship on Saturday, October 12, from Noon to 4:00 P.M. at the Netcong Campus. We will be taking a trip back in time for an old-fashioned Carnival Day, complete with some old time games and activities. You and your whole family will want to be here. Don t miss it! The REMIX Young Adult Conference is a worship gathering of college students and twenty-somethings. The conference is hosted by the REMIX Young Adult Ministry at Grace Church Netcong and will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Young adults will learn from pastors and ministry leaders currently serving in Jersey and will have multiple opportunities for conversation and reflection with other participants. The theme for this year's conference is, THE FATHER'S LOVE, and it is based on 1 John 3:1 that says, How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! Along with an extended time of celebratory worship & prayer, young adults will have the opportunity to sit in on at least 2 of 10 exciting and relevant breakout sessions. Check out the titles of some of our amazing sessions this year, 20Something & Waiting, P90X Your Spiritual Walk, Great Dates, Bad Mates, & Soul Mates, Office Space, At the Movies, and many more! To attend this event, you can REGISTER ONLINE TODAY at If you register with 10 or more friends, the cost is $15, otherwise the cost is $25. Looking forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions, contact pastor Segun Aiyegbusi at segun@grace4families.com. I d like to know more people at my church! This is a comment we hear from time to time around here. Last Fall we launched Grace Connections where over 200 people were able to join a small group that met together for six weeks to connect with each other, with God and with His Word. We are excited to relaunch Grace Connections this Fall, in order to give people that same opportunity again. The first step in this process is to put together Small Group Leaders and Hosts. If you are willing to either facilitate a discussion group or host a group in your home, we would invite you to pray about this opportunity and contact Tim Leonard at tim@grace4families.com. Secondly, if you would like to be a part of a small group when they start this fall, please contact Mary Ann in the church office at maryann@grace4families.com. It is so valuable to be connected with God, His Word and His people and you want to be a part of this. Don t wait!

7 Tuesday Morning Bible Study Begins September 24, :20-11:20 AM Gideon: Your Weakness. God's Strength This 8 session study by Priscilla Shirer is about God and His people--his love for them as well as His strength operating in spite of, even through, their weakness. From a state of fear, weakness, and insecurity Gideon emerged as Israel's hero, filled with God's presence and His passion for deliverance. This study will encourage you to recognize your weakness as the key that the Lord gives you to unlock the full experience of His strength in your life. Instead of ignoring, neglecting, or trying to escape your weaknesses, see them as the gifts that they are, given specifically and strategically by God. If you've ever felt insufficient, ill-equipped, incompetent, or outnumbered, this study is for you. Sign up in the lobby. Location: Youth Room, Netcong Campus Cost: $15 for participant book Contact: Sherrie at sherrie@grace4families.com Tuesday Night Bible Study Begins October 1 6:30-7:00 PM (Fellowship) 7:00 8:30 PM (Video & Discussion) Me, Myself, and Lies: A Thought Closet Makeover This 7 week study by Jennifer Rothschild will encourage you to clean out the junk in your mind and replace hidden negative thoughts with positive truths from God s Word. Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls. According to Rothschild, what we think about often has a ripple effect on nearly every area of our lives. Sign up in the lobby. Location: Room 100, Netcong Campus Cost: $15 for participant book Contact: Carrie Kraus at ckraus01@optonline.net Sunday Morning Bible Study Begins September 15 11:15 AM 12:15 PM Malachi: A Love That Never Lets Go This eight week study by Lisa Harper explores God's unchanging love and focuses on God s mercy. Even on our worst day, God won't leave us. His love for us is not determined by our performance. No matter how many times we mess up, God loves (and never leaves) His broken people. "I the LORD do not change" Malachi 3:6 Women taking this Bible study will gain a fresh perspective on the Book of Malachi. It is more than a book in the Bible about tithing. Lisa brings the Scripture to life through dynamic storytelling. Sign up in the lobby. Location: Room 105, Netcong Campus Cost $15.00 for participant book Contact: Sherrie at sherrie@grace4families.com Women s Ministry Team Opportunity Wanted: Women to be trained on the sound board for Women s Ministry Events.
