1 FATHER SON SEPTEMBER Alive Vineyard of Licking County HOLY SPIRIT A Disciple loves God, follows Jesus, & Serves People Dear Vineyard family and friends, On September 11th we face the 15th anniversary of the worst Terrorist attack ever on American soil. Since then we ve watched the new One World Trade Center which was supposed to be called the Freedom Tower built on ground zero of the Twin Towers. We ve watched attack after attack both here in America, across Europe and in the Middle East. Our enemy shows no sign of letting up so we can expect more of the same. Another words, we are on the edge of World War III. Some believe we are already in WWIII! Wade and I have been watching the persecution of Christians around the world in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt and in the Middle East in general through the OPEN DOOR website and RUN ministry of the Voice of the Martyrs. Hundreds of thousands (not exaggerating) Christians are being tortured and killed in the Middle East. At the same time there is a revival taking place and Jesus is appearing to individuals and whole villages in dreams and visions bringing them, in spite of the persecutions, to turn to Him in these last days. Wade plans to use a Persecuted Church Escape Room experience entitled Committed to inform everyone about the huge persecution taking place right now in our world. It is soon to be promoted but will not take place until November. God has been prodding me to take action right now in regards to reaching out to my neighbors. It tackles my mind every time I drive down Opossum Hollow Road. I don t even know the names of many of my neighbors. I don t know most of the people living in the houses around the church either! If we are going to reach Licking County before the Lord returns we d better get started! Are you with me? I want to meet with a team who is willing to make one or two short (5 minutes) visits per week to their neighbors and then meet together to discuss how it went and pray for each other. Interested? There is a sign up at the welcome center and lets start right away. Prayer will be the key to success and we will plan together before your first visit. Watch for the LoveYourNeighborOutreach information at the welcome center or during worship. Socrates stated Know thyself -a proverb applied to those whose boasts exceed who they are." "Know thyself" is a warning to pay no attention to the opinion of the multitude. Know thy Jesus will remedy this self adoration struggle and get give us His heart for a lost world. We need Jesus...we really need Jesus. Invite the Holy Spirit to join you in your world to love those around you into a relationship with Him. It could actually be fun and rewarding. It fulfills both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission! Let s just do it! IN HIS WORD Bible Study & Sunday School at 9:00 9:45 AM w/ron Redman Café open 9:00-9:55 AM

Pastor Steve Life tip: Work like it depends on you Pray like it depends on God! $878, Pastor s September Book-of-the-Month Israel Defense Force Brigadier General Gal Hirsch signed a few copies of his book, Defensive Shield after he spoke here at AVLC last month and they are in our bookstore NOW! His story is incredible. He has taken part in all of Israel s military confrontations since 1982, leaving a unique signature on a wide scope of strategic thinking owing to his deep understanding of operational art and military planning. In 2009, Hirsch s autobiographical book in Hebrew, War Story, Love Story, was published and instantly appeared on the Israeli bestseller list where it stayed for many months. The description of his own personal journey offers deep, open-minded, and critical insights into the most significant milestones in Israel s defense in the past 30 years, in which he played a key role. This new, revised, and reconceived English edition of the book offers international readers a comprehensive, one-of-a-kind, contextual description of Israeli national defense developments, serving as a valuable tool for understanding contemporary security challenges in the Middle East. The book has been praised as a lesson in leadership, bravery, and endurance. It is a remarkable testimony to the bond between the Jewish people and its Bible and land. This is a TRUE story and timely for those whose eye is on the Eastern Sky for the return of our Lord. Gal is a faithful Jew and, I believe, ripe to find Jesus! He is in my prayers! Grab one of the last copies! We can order more but they won t be signed. Wednesdays - now studying the Gospel of Matthew! We eat We talk We sing (just one song) We pray We study the Bible JOIN US!

Pocket Testament Testimony Thank you so much to everyone who makes The Pocket Testament League possible. I see the impact that this ministry has made around my workplace and my life just by these little Gospels that are so easy to share in your everyday activities with those around you. If these Gospels are working in everybody else s lives the way they are in my life, it brings tears to my eyes all the more. I ve seen my courage grow and my strength to proclaim God increase. I ve seen a fire spread through my work since these Gospels started showing up there. Now I see it creeping into management and the way they are running things. These Gospels have helped me to speak life and I ve seen it impact the health of loved ones around me. All the Glory to God! And thanks to you who allow Him to move through you even for those who are not financially able but have a good spirit and are very willing to serve the Lord. Andrew????? Pick up a Pocket Testament and help change a life for Jesus.
