6 CHURCH-WIDE CAMPAIGN: Week 4 Today we continue our Be the Message campaign with the specific goals as follows: 1) Read through chapters of Be the Message and do the exercises at the end of each chapter; 2) Read through chapters of the Gospel of John; 3) Pray that God will continue to conform your character to Christ s so that your life will speak His message. May this five week campaign will be a catalyst for real spiritual growth! Daylight saving time is next Sunday! Daylight Saving is next Sunday, March 10th. Remember to spring ahead so you don t miss out on worship! Blood drive change Our April 12 Red Cross Blood Drive has been cancelled. We are working on finding another date for the drive and will let you know when we have a new date! Sorry about the inconvenience! Ash Wednesday Ash Wednesday is this week, March 6, and it marks the beginning of the Lenten season. We encourage you to prepare your hearts for the journey towards the cross which culminates to our Easter celebration on Sunday, April 21. Morning Glory The next Morning Glory Service is Sunday, March 17 at 9:10 a.m. Midweek Mix: March 13 Comfy Casseroles, Sides, and Dessert Sign up today on the Mix board in the fellowship hall! Classes are offered for all ages! High School age and adults will meet in the worship center to hear Rev. Dr. Travis West teach on The End of Us and Them: Part 1. 6

7 Journey SpringHill Retreat Final payment for the retreat is due to Pastor Kevin today. We are meeting Friday at 5 p.m. and will be back on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Dropoff and pick-up are here at church. Check your for all the details! Keep an eye on Facebook for fun pictures and be in prayer for our leaders and students as they experience a spiritual boost this weekend! SAVE THE DATE! Journey High invites you to come and experience a lovely night in Nebraska! The beauty is, we are bringing Nebraska to you! Please join us for our fundraiser dinner of the Nebraskan staple of Chili and Cinnamon Rolls--yes, you read that right! This is sure to be a delightful evening, so please mark your calendars to come out and support our Journey students on Saturday, April 27 from 5:30-7 p.m. as they prepare for the summer mission trip to Lincoln, Nebraska! The Conquerors Outreach Event The Conquerors are a Christian strength team from western Michigan who use displays of strength to captivate audiences and deliver the Gospel message. They will be performing in our church on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, March 13, they will be leading assemblies in several of our local elementary and middle schools. At the end of these assemblies, students will be invited to the large Friday night event. It s a great opportunity to serve our schools and reach into our neighborhood with the Good News of Jesus. If you are interested in serving at this event, please fill out an interest card or contact the church office. We need assistance with promotions (grab an invite or two to give away at the lobby table!), prayer, security, hospitality, take-down, etc. It ll take many of us to see this through. We d love your help! 7
