And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. For this coming week: Living the Lord s Prayer weekly challenge - week 5 Lead us not into temptation. Can you be honest What temptations do you feel? How do you respond or react to temptation? Our forgiveness was costly what did forgiveness cost Jesus? Challenge: Practice showing mercy to others this week. Share your experiences and insights. Pray the Lord s prayer daily, frequently, and in worshipful reflection. 4 Messiah, Pts. 2 & 3 (Excerpts) GEORGE FRIDERIC HANDEL Sanctuary Choir, Soloists, Organ, Instruments. March 18, 2018 I. Behold the Lamb of God, Choir That taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29). II. He was despised, despised and rejected, Piper Pack-Smith, Alto Rejected of men, a man of sorrows And acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3). III. Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows. Choir He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him (Isaiah 53:4-5). IV. Thy rebuke hath broken His heart. He looked for Dan Marino, Tenor Some to have pity on him, but there was no man, Neither found he any to comfort him (Psalm 69:21). He was cut off out of the land of the living: For the transgression of thy people was He stricken (Isaiah 53:8). V. But thou didst not leave His soul in hell, Dan Marino, Tenor Nor didst thou suffer thy Holy One to see corruption (Psalm 16:10). VI. I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he Gabriella Carrillo, Soprano Shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And though worms destroy this body, Yet in my flesh shall I see God. I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he Shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. For now is Christ risen from the dead, The first fruits of those that sleep. (John 16:25-26; I Cor. 15:20)
