2 Christian Biker Support Club Update Meetings: every Monday night at The Shed, Berkeley, BBQ on the last Monday of every month. All welcome. Post-ride: February some of the members rode to Junee for the annual charity ride. Members also rode with a local social group (Riding with Skipp) of 25 bikes taking the 450km route to the Robertson pie shop. Summer Nights Couples ride kicked off in February and will continue monthly until it gets cold. Then we will change the name to something like Winter afternoon Couples Ride. Upcoming rides: Chapel Run th March. Raising funds for the Tahmoor Primary School Autism Specrtum and Special Needs Unit. There will be a Show & Shine at Bargo Hotel with live Music. Next Summer Nights ride: 10th March. The Black Dog ride is on the 18th March at Penrith Further in the distance rides: Give me Stength Men s Conference 25-27th May. Belgrave Hieghts, VIC. We have been invited to the MBMMC Holbrook Border Run on the 20-21st October. SOTC Bible ministries Learning Cohort s next Diploma intake is in the middle of April. Trimester commences on the 28th of May. Also The Chaplain as Carer course is commencing in line with the trimester. Page 2 Ambassadors CMC cordially invite your club or association to participate in this event. The invitation is open to all members and partners of your club or association. The intent of the conference as in the previous three meetings is to gather all the Christian Motorcycle Clubs in one place to share and discuss our ministries. Cost: The cost (not including your own travel arrangements to get to the venue) of the weekend at The Tops Conference Centre is $150 per person. There is also a $15 per person charge if you require linen (or bring your sleeping bag). The cost includes two nights accommodation with supper provided on Friday night and then all meals to lunch on Sunday. Conference Accommodation: The majority is single bunk style beds. Each participant will need to supply their own bedding unless pre booked two weeks before the conference (cost $15). Registration: Each participant is required to register either via the online registration page by following this link Or obtain a registration form by from mick@ambassadors.org.au as early as possible. Conference Timings: We ask that each participant plan their arrival at The Tops Centre between 6pm and 7pm on Friday the 20th April 2018 and to plan their departures for the Tops after 1pm of Sunday the 22 nd. The official welcome will be starting at 7:30pm of Friday. Pickup / Drop of Service: Due to the location Ambassadors CMC can offer a free shuttle service from the Train Station (Helensburgh) to the venue. Please indicate on your registration your transfer details if needed. We are only 10 minutes from the station. Daily Program: We are expecting to follow a similar program as before and are asking for members of the participating clubs / associations to help in the following areas: Topic Presentations, Discussion Leaders, Prayer Leaders, Club Reports, Entertainment (i.e.: musicians etc.). If anyone wants to be a volunteer for any of the above there is provision of the Registration form. Meals: A set menu has been provided. For those with special dietary requirements please advise us of these needs on the registration form. This conference is a great opportunity to share God s calling for each together us as Christians Bikers in the South Pacific region. It will be a time for fellowship, support, encouragement and journeying together. God bless and we look forward to seeing you there. 4 MBMMC Illawarra conducts Monthly rides as well as joins other rides in the area. They are also present at most military remembrance ceremonies. They are active in providing assistance to vets and are setting up the VAC (Veteran Assistance Centre) Resurgent. Serving meals every Thursday night at Kingswood Railway station with the street feed held by "Christ Mission Possible" and we also serve meals one Friday every month with "Hands and Feet Ministries" at Martin Place and Tent City at Central Railway. BFKI is set up to assist disadvantaged kids in the Illawarra and currently are providing ongoing support for several families. Due to the nature of their work, meetings and rides are by invitation only. 7 What it means to be saved By Rodney Osborne There is forty things that God does in the individual at the moment of salvation. This article is a study of the second and the third of the forty. Each study can be found on sotc.teamapp.com as they become available Act 2: Reconciliation By God: All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. (2Co 5:18-19) and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. (Col 1:20) To God For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. (Rom 5:10) Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (2Co 5:20) For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. (Eph 2:14-17) Take a moment to discuss what your understanding of reconciliation is. Now consider what the biblical word means by reconciliation: Reconciliation means that someone or something is thoroughly changed and adjusted to something which is standard (Chafer, Vol.VII, Pg.262) If the definitions differ, which should be adopted?
