3 Final Preparation of the Disciples/Apostles prior to Jesus Ascension Luke 24: Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

4 Final Preparation of the Disciples/Apostles prior to Jesus Ascension Acts 1:2-3 until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

5 The Prophetic Plan of Jesus Matt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

7 Did the Gospel Message/mix change? Yes! Acts 2:30 38 The Atonement provided access to the Kingdom. The Holy Spirit inspired Peter, and the death and Resurrection of Jesus were added to the Kingdom and repentance.

Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay.

Vs 25 - "Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again.

Paul's summary of his life message Acts 26:20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

From morning till evening he explained and declared to them the kingdom of God and tried to convince them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets.

Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.
