2 MISSION: MOPS International encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. ABOUT US: MOPS began in 1973 when a small group of young moms began meeting together because of their shared need for honest relationships, support and mentoring in life and motherhood. This grassroots movement spread like wildfire as MOPS groups sprang up through the country and around the world, including customized Teen, Military and international groups. Research consistently shows moms of young children are the most open to new ideas, to seeking help from others, and exploring their spiritual lives. MOPS strategic focus on mothers of young children leverages this opportunity to reach moms for Christ. OUR STRATEGIC VISION: By 2021, it is our aim to reach 1 million women each year with resources to equip and empower them as women, mothers and leaders in relationship with Jesus. As part of the strategy to take the Gospel to all people, we seek to raise the percentage of non-christians per group from 8 percent to 50 percent.

Just as young moms are dependent on community and the tools to empower them as leaders, we could not operate at such a ministerial level of success without you.

We are incredibly thankful for the village of people who pray for and nurture this organization through the resources with which God has equipped you. Just as young moms are dependent on community and the tools to empower them as leaders, we could not operate at such a ministerial level of success without you. As you know, we are never satisfied with the status quo at MOPS. We want to produce fruit that is clearly God-given, and we pray that fruit multiplies to 1 million women by The results of this fiscal year prove an exciting release from the starting blocks in pursuit of this goal. Today, we celebrate these wins with you. At the time I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my kids were 2 and 5 and I was scared to death. All the women in my MOPS group stepped up to support me and my family.

4 At the time I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my kids were 2 and 5 and I was scared to death. All the women in my MOPS group stepped up to support me and my family. They prayed, cooked meals and offered words of encouragement when I was going through months of chemo, radiation and surgery. They loved my children and helped me focus on what really mattered - my relationship with Christ. Without their support, I am not sure I could have made it through the last year. Because of our wide reach and large number of MOPS groups, The MOPS Brand Guidelines allow us to create a brand image and identity that are consistent across all mediums. OUR NEW LEADER TRAINING IS NOW ONLINE! Launched in 2017, our New Leader Training is now available as an online video series designed to give new group Leaders all of the MOPS basics along with foundational spiritual and practical leadership training.

7 M O M CO N Our annual conference is a critical event for training and inspiring MOPS Leaders, encouraging them as women, mothers and leaders. The 2016 MOMcon was especially significant as we introduced Mandy Arioto as our new President and CEO and rolled out our vision to spiritually impact 1 million moms through MOPS programming. DA R L I N G! FAS H I O N S H OW F U N D RA I S I N G EV E N T Nearly 400 people attended the sold-out fashion show and fundraiser, Darling!, where we engaged a number of new MOPS donors. The evening had great energy, and it was very encouraging to see so many people attend who showed interest in financially supporting MOPS.

8 A New Creation At our last meeting, I saw something in Amanda that I hadn t seen before. Hope. Humility. It seemed that she was able to concede that she didn t have the answers, and should trust the system in order to help equip her to survive on the outside. When we met again, I hugged her when she told me she accepted Jesus and was baptized. I told her how excited I was for her! She worried that she wouldn t thrive in the state penitentiary and asked me to pray for her to be humble. I told her that the Holy Spirit is with her now and she is a new creation not just the improved version of Amanda, but NEW. And that he will give her what she needs just when she needs it. 10 What s Most Important The MOPS Handbook says that serving food at a MOPS meeting is always a good idea. I remember one of the first questions Sylvia asked me, Where do we get money for food? I asked her if the moms were showing up regularly and she said, Yes, and she shared that sometimes the women even boil tea leaves and serve popcorn. You do not need food to get them to come, I answered. MOPS was their lifeline. These moms needed each other so much that they would meet in their MOPS group every day. Food is always a good idea, but it is not always available. What s most important is the love, support and participation of our moms. This is what remains steady. 11 Cultural Impact MOPS is being positioned as the expert on motherhood everywhere, not just in the church. In , MOPS President and CEO, Mandy Arioto, made appearances on the following: 37 radio programs Huffington Post Blog as a regular contributor Facebook Live event on Quirky Momma Marketing 2 Moms, a New York City conference that draws executives from Google, Twitter, Proctor and Gamble, Mars Candy and more Denver morning TV show, viewed on both the Fox affiliate and Daystar Television Many of these media outlets are primarily secular, and by attracting new audiences, Jesus is being shared in otherwise difficult to reach arenas. Volunteer Impact In , over 39,000 MOPS moms served their communities through various MOPS service opportunities such as hosting baby showers at pregnancy centers, delivering care packages to local law enforcement, providing blankets for their nearest NICU, and more. 222 VOLUNTEERS = 30,000 HOURS MOPS could not have such a large impact in the name of Jesus without the work of our MOPS Volunteers who give significant time and talents to this Ministry, their communities, and the world.

13 Dear MOPS Family, When I began my involvement with MOPS in 1992, I had no idea what I was in for. My story is like many others: I came in simply as an overwhelmed mom, but over time I became compelled to deeply buy in to this organization s mission of equipping and encouraging moms across the globe. As my involvement increased, I experienced MOPS from multiple perspectives through a variety of roles. My three sons outgrew their strollers, but my heart never outgrew MOPS. There are many reasons I ve rallied behind MOPS for several decades, but consider just these: MOPS remains faithful to its original calling to equip and empower moms. (Ephesians 4:11-13) MOPS continues to cast its net wider and wider in pursuit of every mom. (Matthew 4:19, Matthew 28:19) MOPS Leadership believes God is able to produce results beyond our wildest dreams as we follow him wisely. (Ephesians 3:20-21) MOPS equips women to effectively spread the Gospel throughout our communities, long after our children have left the preschool years. (2 Peter 1:7-8) As a board, we would like to thank you for your influence on motherhood through your support of MOPS. We ve felt the impact of your prayers, your service, your financial sacrifices and your confidence in our mission. These elements provide the groundwork for ministry as we continue toward the goal of sharing Christ with 1 million moms by Your support is vital to accomplishing this and we thank you for reaching out in faith with us to benefit the daughters, grandchildren, husbands and families who will meet Jesus through MOPS. Even before I had children, I wanted to be a part of MOPS. There was a fragrance about it that was intoxicating. Women who attended MOPS received community and ministry, and I craved the same.

14 Even before I had children, I wanted to be a part of MOPS. There was a fragrance about it that was intoxicating. Women who attended MOPS received community and ministry, and I craved the same. Today, I m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to coordinate my local MOPS group, even though it took some convincing. I was asked to consider becoming the Coordinator. Out of fear, I quickly turned down this opportunity. Soon after, some girlfriends and I took our annual trip to Austin, Texas to attend a women s conference. The Holy Spirit spoke straight to my soul when a speaker uttered these words, Ministry is where your two feet are planted. God wanted me to accept the Coordinator position. After arriving home to Orange County, I began praying for God to equip me for leadership and have been blown away by the resources available to me through MOPS. Most significantly, I ve already felt the support both from MOPS International and MOPS Leaders in my local community. Every time I knock, God opens the door.
